The worst storm in our history is what one news station said. Another said "most intense storm in 70 years". 50-60mph winds. Severe thunderstorms, we're under a tornado watch until 11.

We brought everything in from the yard so it wouldn't blow away. It sounds so terrible out there. Winds whipping at the house.

think I'll be driving my kids to school today.

Those under this storm - stay safe!

Good Morning Deb,
I think your wicked weather is arriving in Holland, Michigan. SO far no storms but horrific winds. My hubby is out of town for the week and I'm stuck in a wheel chair with my foot in a cast. With that being said, looks I get new lawn furniture next summer. LOL

Stay safe Deb and Carmen!
Carmen I'm particularly worried for you. Be safe *hugs* I hope that your foot heals fast. I had my foot in a cast a couple of summers ago and the boredom drove me nuts =P

Hey Deb. I think we had that same storm here yesterday morning. It was awful. Trees down all over and power out. Lots of rain. I believe there were tonadoes the way the trees looked. I hope ya'll don't get the tonadoes. Stay safe.

Kris

Deb, it's headed our way here in Kentucky. Supposed to start here around 3:00 pm with driving rains, which is tough because it has been drought like here, so it will flash flood and run off, leaving a lot of problems in its wake.

Hope everyone is alright and there houses and trees survive! We've had quite a few crack and die this summer already due to high winds and the dry conditions...

Deb....The winds are roaring off the bay right now and leaves are scattering! I can hear the waves from my house. No rain though-at least not yet!

Take care dear friend and batten down those hatches!

tornadoes have touched down just south of me. I heard 3 farms were hit. Weird now, because the sun is out here. But it's still so, so windy.

Stay safe everyone!

My husband is out of state right now as well, and my 18 yo son is due to drive to work in a few hours. The town my son works in is also affected by severe winds and more.

High winds, torrential rains that flooded streets (water often over the sidewalks) and low lying areas like under trestle bridges. Over in about 10 minutes, though. It does appear that the rain is set in for the afternoon, and a county to our immediate west is under a tornado "warning" until 1:30. Sadly, it's the county where I was headed for my lunch hour errands! Think I'll wait a bit...
