I would appreciate any and all pryaers and advice I can get. I have been having some very hard financial times and my home is going into foreclosure and I feel like everything is closing in. My 13 year old daughter is home with me and as a single parents I feel like I have no one to turn to and have had some horrid thoughts go thru my head. Please keep my family in your prayers- I really appreciate it!!

Lori, I'm thinking of you. I work for a real estate attorney who assists many folks with foreclosures...have you thought of a bankruptcy restructure wherein you can keep your home? It's possible, and please, please, don't feel like you are alone in this. It's all across this country--but there are options. Being together is the most important thing, whether it's in your home, a condo or a small rented house in the country. Shelter is vital, but a home is just a shell without family--and that's what you and your daughter make it. So anywhere you both go, and stay together, will be home.

Praying for you. With all the flack about many foreclosures being done wrongly, perhaps you should really check and see if bankruptcy is an option. I had to file for that protection due to my husband's long illness and all the bills incurred. I got to keep the cabin I live in. I certainly could not afford to rent something, I would be at the food bank weekly. Please check all the options out and do not let anyone tell you that bankruptcy is wrong. It is there for those are caught in situations just like these times.

Lori, listen to what Jonni said, she is so right. I don't care if you and your daughter live in a studio apartment. The fact that you are together is what will make it home. Times are very hard for so many people right now. Sweetie there has always been hard times for people. You stick together and stick it out. Things do get better. You never know what good thing may turn up tomorrow, and you don't want to miss it!

My thoughts are with you, Lori. I'm sorry that you have to deal with this...these sure are tough times. We went through foreclosure a couple years ago. Hang in there. :)

Lori.. we are with you! I know how bleak everything is for you right now but as long as you are here you have a family.. a family that loves you and wants to know how you are doing. Doing something 'stupid' won't solve anything. There are options..and check with your state for free legal help. I read yesterday that most states have something set up to keep families in their homes. So please take a deep breath and look into it.. and know I'm holding your hand.
Love ya and big sister hug,
Cynthia

Lori, I sent you an e-mail. Please keep your daughter in your head at all times and don't even think desperate thoughts. I know we are close to each other. Let me know what I can do. Maybe we can get together and you can cry on my shoulder. I have big shoulders. Please look into all the options out there for foreclosures, the banks are trying to keep people in their homes. Praying for you.

oh lori, please listen to jonni and diane. i was in foreclosure, felt bad scared etc. these farmgirls helped me privately and on here to get through this tough time. we were told over and over by mortgage co. pay up or move. now we have a permanent loan modification. i make my second payment today. they said no right up to the end. 1 year i made no house pymts. they forgave the past due and the latefees etc. dropped my pymt. by $900.00 a month.its an obama house affordable plan. please keep fighting. are you working? do you have unemployment. we are both. part work part unemployment. worked the numbers out and it worked. i will say a prayer for you. be strong its the system failing not you farmgirl. sincerely sherrye

Lori - please also remember that the measure of who you are is not found in owning a home, in the car you drive, the clothes you wear nor in anything you own.... You find it in your reflection seen in your daughter's eyes and in the love felt for you in her heart. And I am sure that in her your measure is beyond words. Nothing else really matters. I've been there, and I plan to email you later tonight. Please know that here with your farmgirl sisters you are in a safe place. We care deeply and give you our full, loving support. The other girls seem to have some really great advice - please heed it. And always remember you can lean on us as much as you need. That's what sisters are for! You are in my constant thoughts and prayers. Hugs - Nini

Oh Lori, you are not a failure. The world is in a bit of bad shape right now and many, many people are suffering. Listen to these smart ladies =) They helped Sherry stay in her home. Anything is possible.
I, too, have been to the point of considering "desperate" things for various reasons and it isn't worth it. ((((hugs)))))) Remember that your daughter is here needing her mama. I know we all can help each other if we stick together as farmgirls are so good at doing! Hugs and courage to face these hard times coming your way!

Hi, Lori. I don't know where you live, but know that I care about you. I know about desperate thoughts and I earnestly pray that you will not act on them. Like the others have posted--think of your daughter.

Also, no matter how bleak and discouraging life seems, this too shall pass. Things do change; sometimes slowly, other times unbelievably quickly.

I don't know if you are religious, but God is in control and He knows what is going on. You can rely on Him.

Take care of yourself and your daughter. And check in to any and all options that may be available. Sometimes help comes from unexpected directions.

Thank you dear friends for the love and support- I am a Christian and that in itself is why I haven't acted on my horrid thoughts- as a Christian that is one thing I do not believe in. I am working hard on trying to contact the correct people and organizations for guidance and help. Every day is very hard, and I am trying to have faith. Thank you for all of the love and support you all show to me and my daughter.

Keep touching base here with everyone. There are women who know good advice for you, and then there are those of us who are praying alongside of you and your daughter. In the midst of this, tell her how much you love her, that you are always there for her, and hug her, and pray to God that the way will be made known to you.

Lori, Do you have a pastor you can go to and talk with? A good friend, sister or a mature lady? I am feeling your pain, please know you are not alone - your sisters are here to help.
Please keep in touch and know that you are in my heart and prayers.
You and your daughter just hang on to each other and the Lord, this storm will pass by and the sky will be blue once again.
The Lord will never leave you nor forsake you.
many hugs and prayers,
Ruth

Lori,
I am praying as well . . . that the Lord will give you peace, strength, wisdom and encouragement. That He will enfold you with His love and care. He will never leave you or forsake you. I wish I could be of more tangible help. The bond between you and your daughter is life-giving! My prayers are with you and your daughter.

lori we are concerned for you. are you ok tonight. i am moved to suggest you sleep with your daughter for awhile. when i was down and out and alone except my son. i would sleep and snuggle him to find peace inside me. it also put in front of me why i shall not give up. he needed me. she needs you. we are praying for you. you are a fine farmgirl. sometimes we need a leg up. where are you? its darkest before dawn. you have your child hand on tight. when i was down i had to ask for help. i hate asking. any way... there are organizations that help in these difficult times. ours here is called neighbor impact. see whats out there. use food bank food and save your dollars. fight the mortgage deal. ours is disolved so we were shifted back to wells fargo bank. they helped us. keep trying. let us know how you are. crying can be good. winners can get down but we dont stay there long. i am sending you a leg up. tell us where you are. like state or something. more ideas may come up that way. sending love hugs and prayers for you. sincerely sherrye

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers- I know that they are carrying me thru. I'm in Wisconsin, and I am trying avenue that I can travel . It's most frustrating that people dont call back or follow thru and I so desperately need. I'm trying not to worry my daughter and she knows because I haven't been myself and so sad most of the time. I'm trying to do the right things to help my family- I just hope and pray that people will follow thru when I call.
Thank you again for the love thru the computer!!
