The thunder rolled in. It sounded like a bowling alley in the sky. *rumble rumble CRASH!!** for a good hour the sky lit up with lightening and the thunder never quite quieted down, building to huge climaxes. The rain sounded like hail on the roof and outside the rain overflowed the gutters in a solid sheet. The water from one gutter almost met the water from the other side of the street in the middle of the road. Each gutter over flowed by more than 5 feet at the height of the storm. It was amazing!

I love big thunderstorms. I really enjoyed it, but I suppose it could have been scary if I didn't have the ability to get out of it!

Alee, I sure wish I could remember what that sounds like. It's been a LONG time since we have seen a storm here. No rain in a month. We are all dried out here. I'm glad ya'll got some rain though. It is raining every where but here it seems.

Kris,
Same here. We haven't seen alot of rain in awhile. While the sunny days are nice since it gets so dark and dreary for weeks at a time in the winter, we are behind on rain here.
Alee, I agree, a big rainstorm is neat when you and your loved ones are safe and cozy at home. ;)

Yeah Alee it was loud last night. Where I live in Billings by the Rims the thunder just rumbled and rumbled.

Theres just nothin like a good storm to make everything fresh again!
I lov ethe sounds of the thunder and I love when you just see the lightning and the count down from 10 and BOOM! ITs so cool how that always seems to work!
Thanks for sharing Alee!

I love big storms!

But not unless I know all the animals are bedded down proper for winter, and there isn't anything outside from summer that can be ruined.

I think we better get busy around here!

We go some for about 5-10 minutes then it stopped but it was a heavy 5-10 minutes of driving rain.
