Hi girls! So, my aunt and uncle got married this summer, and for Christmas, I want to make them a cookbook. Well, I don't have so many people that could give me recipes. So, I was wondering if anyone had any good recipes they would like to contribute, and if so, to email me! Thanks!

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (MicroSafe)

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well..
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT ! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

A Michigan regional favorite: Pasties
1/2 pound uncooked ground beef
2 cups diced potatoes
1 cup diced carrots
1/2 cup diced onions
salt and pepper to taste
2 prepared pie crusts (the rolled, flat kind in the refrigerated case - not the kind in the pan)
Mix the first five ingredients together and divide into 2 portions. Put 1 portion on each dough circle, fold over into a half-moon shape, and seal the edges by mashing with the tines of a fork. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
There is an intense debate about whether or not to serve these with brown gravy. Some people like it, and others think it is downright sacrilege!
After baking, these freeze beautifully. To thaw and warm, bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

And this is my favorite "company's coming" recipe: Rachel Ray's Chicken Shortcut-a-Tore
1 pound penne pasta
3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked (I bake mine in the oven at 300 degrees for about 30 minutes)
3 minced garlic cloves
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 portobello mushroom tops, thinly sliced
1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
3/4 cup sugar
Fresh parsley
Grated parmesan cheese
Start your pasta water boiling and cook pasta according to directions on package. In a nice, deep skillet, heat garlic and red pepper in oil until the garlic starts to hiss a little. Add the sliced mushrooms, coat with oil, sprinkle with a little coarse salt, and cover the skillet. Cook for about 10 minutes, shaking the pan every so often until the mushrooms are soft and dark. Add the tomatoes, sugar, and a big handful of chopped, fresh parsley. Slice the chicken breasts and add to the sauce, stirring until it is all mixed well and heated through. Add the cooked, drained pasta, and stir it all together well. For a lovely guest-ready presentation, dump it out onto a nice, big platter, scatter a handful of chopped parsley over it, and a few parmesan cheese curls. I've never served this without getting rave reviews...and it's easy and quick, as well!

This is one of my favs. and it is so easy.

a thick cut porkchop per person.
place on a baking sheet.
layer in this order
a slice of onion
a slice of cheese any white cheese to your taste (Monster, Mus. etc)
and cover with a thin layer of mayo
bake at 300 until done about 30 minutes for real thick chops less for not so thick.
