No worries she hasn't been out of the box in a while. It gives me time to sit and write in her journal.

I am so sorry. Please take me off the list for hosting Sara. I should be having surgery about the time she would be arriving. Hate to bail - but I don't want to hold up her traveling. Again, sorry. Darlys Tippie

I sent an email asking to sign up to host Sarah but I have not heard anything in response. Does anyone know if this is still happening or did Sarah go home?

Sara is still with me in Wichita. Alee is looking for the next host mom on the list who ever is next please email your address to Alee so Sara can move on to the next city. Since Sara has been with me so long we took her to several things for the holidays. We are members of the local botanical gardens and Cowtown Museum so we took her to some of those holiday events. She had to hang out here at my house for Christmas because we left for Virginia. Now I really only get Sara out when my daughter is here and she is willing to hang out with Sara. Other than that not much urban farmgirl stuff going on around here the winter is surprisingly mild this year so the Chickens are still laying. That's about it.

I am so excited about Sara's arrival. I'll let Alee know when I receive her. She will have fun in Cajun country.

Hi!
Sara Bell has arrived in SW Louisiana. She arrived this morning around 10 AM. Tomorrow I shall take her out for pictures, etc...

Hi Mel:
My four outside cats were fascinated with the box Sara Bell arrived in! I think they wanted her out too!!! I couldn't wait for tomorrow to take pictures. So, out she came. When my sweetie, husband, arrived home from work, we took her out of the box. She is just beautiful. I did take her outside for a few pictures; by the roses, by the lake, in the Prayer Garden with the moss hanging behind her, and by the patch of onion tops. Tomorrow we have more planned.
She arrived safe. Happy to know you were concerned. She will be just fine here in Cajun country. She may even get to see an alligator.
Thanks,
Marly

I'm so glad Sara arrived safely. I kept it low cost by sending her ground mail, but with insurance. I just didn't feel right sending her out without something more than a track number. So sorry it took so long for Sara to arrive in LA but I'm sure it will be a nice change to blistery cold KS. Luckily for Sara she was not boxed the entire time she was here just during Christmas when we had to leave for Vacation. I would have happily sent her along before Christmas if we weren't losing host moms left and right. My daughter loved dressing her in the skirt and sweater. It was her idea to buy Sara a pair of mitten earrings for that outfit while we were at the farmers market. It's now so cold that I wished I knew how to knit or crochet so she could have left with shoes, mittens, and a scarf to keep her warm on the trip.

Amber: How excited to see the pictures of Sara Bell. She is so happy to be in warmer weather. It will be in the 70s today in SW Louisiana. She is doing well. Today, we will take more pictures. Tomorrow we may go hunting, but we will shoot with our camera. Thanks for taking such good care of her.

Lots of shots of her at the farmers market and with my daughter. Crystal really took a liking to her.

Oh, I forgot to say: I have never owned a doll. So, it was kind of funny trying to dress her in cooler clothing. My Sweetie (hubby) really got a good laugh. I put the green sweater on Sara Bell last night, but today I'll have to put something cooler. This is an experience for me. Thanks. Oh! and Sara Bell will be going to a Mardi Gras get-together. She seems to be very excited.

Oh Alee,,,,, please don't be jealous. Come on down and join us. We have extra Mardi Gras beads, and we have plenty of room.
Stay warm.

Just wanted to share Sara Bell's first day here with us in Louisiana. She arrived Wednesday. She was sitting in the Prayer Garden cooling off. The temperature here is in the 70s. She is doing fine.

Sara Bell has enjoyed a part of our Mardi Gras spirit. As you may notice, I had to change her outfit to something cooler.
