I have a whole bale of organic cotton batting, that I picked up reasonable when my neighbor friend purchased her used long arm quilting machine. I broke it down into manageble sizes, I need to re measure this too, if any one is interested. I know I cut it off around a queen size length.
This is straight from the field, rolled loosely into a batting, but it is called leaves cause you pull off layers till you get it the thickness you want for quilting.
This could also be used for stuffing, or for other crafts, possibly even spun.
It is the batting you will find in antique quilts, so it will beard up if not quilted closely.
I will also load photos if there is an interest.
I have hand quilted with this and love it, but you have to test and make sure you get it thin enough to hand quilt with. The stitching also needs to be no more than an inch apart. Would work great machine quilted too.
Make me an offer, I will need to weigh and add shipping too. What I can use for trades is homemade papers for card making, and papers for using around homemade soaps. I am a country girl that quilts, weaves, sews, etc. so let me know what you have. I am always on the look out for reclaimed 100% wool-preferably pendelton quality wools for applique and rug making.

i usually don't pay more than 5.00 for an item. alot of times less than that-I wait til the resale shops put them on sale. skirts give the most fabric, and then pants, and large or larger shirts are great too. pendelton is the best cause they don't use all that ironed on interfacing-that doesn't come off-so I don't buy if made from other countries any more. I used to buy suit coats but shirts are better. thanks for looking

oh and yes plaids and herringbones are good, the best which I can't find is white or light tans that I can dye over. also I would trade for 100% wool sweaters-those can be felted and than used for applique

Just a note, I know shipping is just expensive these days. One of these pieces weighs under 4 pounds, but is very bulky and I am wrapping in paper so it doesn't get all mooshed together badly. from Missouri to Florida is around $11.00 priority with confirmation and tracking. someone had contacted me with an interest and I think the shipping made it not affordable for her. I will gladly split the shipping with you, or anyone else that can not afford all of the shipping costs-just let me know thanks Kathy
