I sure hope someone can help me. I lost a dear recipe years ago. My husband says none of the recipes I have tried since then even compare! If anyone can help me I would sure love it...so would my DH and son. It was for blueberry muffins. It appeared in the late 80's or early 90's in Country Living Magazine. It was a special muffin section. I have tried searching on the CL recipe site and I wrote CL and they couldn't help me. If anyone has any of the old CL magazines (before they put their web address on it...from late 80's or early 90's, if you get a minute or two to scan through them and email me I would be ever so greatful! If you find it I would be glad to send you a really nice Vintage Workbasket Magazine as a thank you! I have about 100 Workbaskets from the 30's through the early 70's before they went defunct! Thanks in advance. I have truly exhausted other resources!

Greatfully yours,
Aunt George

Aunt George,
Have you investigated your public library. Often times they keep archives on microfische. Might be an answer to your husbands prayers.

I hope this is the one you're looking for! I got it out of the magazine years ago! It's STILL our favorite!

Bostonian Blueberry Muffins

1 cup flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 T. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. cinnamon

1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup milk
1/2 t. vanilla
1 egg

1 1/2 cups frozen berries

Preheat oven to 425*. Grease muffin tins. In a large bowl combine dry ingredients. Set aside 1 T. of dry mixture. In a separate bowl combine the rest of the ingredients except for the berries. Next, stir the moist ingredients into the dry ingredients. Toss the berries with the reserved dry mixture to coat. Fold berries into the batter. Spoon into muffin tins-filling each muffin 3/4 of the way full. Before baking, sprinkle each muffin top with granulated sugar. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Enjoy!

I just told my husband that I have finally found the recipe thanks to a farmgirl friend at MaryJanesFarm and he said: "You know I want hot blueberry muffins tomorrow morning for breakfast!" I haven't been able to make this for over ten years!! Wooo Hoooo

I also want to thank Jacqueline and Robin for taking the time to post suggestions too! I will be emailing all of you to thank you for your help. Thank you again!! (Gosh do I sound excited?) My hubby has never let me live it down that I lost this fabulous recipe! LOL

RHONDA...could you email me? I tried to email you through MaryJanes and you do not have an email reply button, nor one in your profile!

Well, your excitement has made me decide that I need to try that recipe. I love homemade muffins.
