If you are looking to read books you will treasure forever about farm life, find some books by now deceased author, Gladys Taber. She lived on a farm called Stillmeadow in Connecticut. She used to write a column called Butternut Wisdom in a major womans magazine. Her books are touching and often hilarious about her life on her farm and the cocker spaniels she raised.
Once you read her, you will be hooked!
Try Ebay for good prices on her books, also alibris.com or abebooks.com

I love Gladys Taber's books. They are wonderful to cozy up with at night and slip into her world.

Gladys is the reason I live the lifestyle I do now. She is also the reason that I have 7 cocker spaniels. I thought I would never be able to get used to the sad eyed look of a cocker but now I can't imagine my life without them.
I love reading about the animals my favorite authors had - I got my Pembroke Welsh Corgi from being a Tasha Tudor fan!
Fun to see what pets authors have/had!
