Oops! I have been happily embroidering away at my badges I have earned. Was going to put them on a denim jacket, but then I thought they would cover the jacket and wouldn't fit. I remember reading that they are supposed to be smaller than the Sisterhood badge, but mine are way bigger. I just noticed that it says to print with "page scaling none". Now I reprinted one and it is the size intended. Now I have to go back and reprint each one and redo them. Darn! Oh well. Guess I can come up with another use for the "big" ones. Hope my goof helps someone out there about to make the same mistake!

Nicole, why don't you connect them, like quilting, and put them on a reusable shopping bag? :) I would've done the same thing, so don't feel bad!

Or even some small pillows! I, also, would have done the same thing probably!! Thank you for the tip.

make a mobile with them , use 2 per, and sew a washer in between them for weight, and maybe some fairy bells hanging from them for some sweet sound...

I like the Idea for a bag. Make sure you put them on something and enjoy them.
The printer thing can be so confussing sometimes.

I think I will put the knitting one on a bag, and the other ones I might make sachets or pillows out of. Glad I caught my mistake now, and not later!

Nicole,
Actually, it is all in what you WANT to do with them. I purposely print all of my badges a little larger because that is the way I like them. I use the "Fit to Printer Margins" mode . . . .

. . . so I wouldn't put yourself down too much!!

I printed one smaller, but embroidered it, "wonder-undered" it to some fabric and use it as part of the embellishment in the cover of my "Merit Badge" notebook. The larger ones I plan to make into a mini-quilt . . when I get to the point where I've earned all I think I'll be earning.

Actually, I bet you can see all the details when they are bigger, and embellishing would be easier.
Aaaand I wouldn't need my glasses to see them :)
Nicole, this group here is so easy going, there really isn't much you can do wrong :). Big badges will just be your trademark!

I just printed out my badges last week and they have been sitting on my desk waiting for me to transfer...I had no idea about the sizing! They fit perfectly, but are about the same size as the sisterhood badge...why are they supposed to be smaller? I agree with the fact that they will be easier to do the detailing on! Hmmmm...should I reprint them or keep them big!?

I just use them the size they print...about the same size as the sisterhood badge. I'm putting them all on a big tote bag and personally like that they are on the big side. But to each his own! I don't think I would want them to be big on a jacket though, so if that's what I was doing, I would downsize them for sure!

I printed mine both ways and used the bigger one. I like it better. I am going to put mine on a tote, so the size won't matter. I had to put my sisterhood badge on my Flannel lined denim shirt I wear in the spring and fall. I prettied up my denim jacket last year and there isn't room. LOL
