Hi Becky. Welcome from Georgia. How many hives do you have? I was just at the farmer's market and found out someone out here near me has about 25 hives now. No wonder I haven't seen any here. They are all there.

HI Kris! I have four hives. It is so interesting watching the bee colony grow. They are really taking off this month we are adding second supers this weekend. If you want a great movie or book introducing the life of bees -"The Secret life of bees"by Sue Monk Kidd is what inspired my new hobby. |

Welcome Becky! Wow...another Michigander. I think we have girls from MI joining almost daily here now! I'm from Battle Creek, not too far from you :) We had another farmgirl join us a couple weeks ago who keeps bees in K'zoo. She and I are going to talk about starting a chapter in this area.

Welcome Becky from Rebecca! I live in Jackson about 15 miles from Pleasant Lake, in fact my brother used to live on Easton Road. I know you are going to love it here. My grand children are homeschooled. Maybe we could learn about your bees sometime? Welcome. Rebecca

Hi Becky! I'm not too far from you either. Welcome! The family farm we'll be moving to used to be an apple orchard and many of the trees still remain. There is a beekeeper that brings his bees in over the spring and summer. They really go to town on the apple nectar. I love the fresh honey he gives the family. I definitely want to learn more about it.
Siobhan- Don't forget to count me in too! By the way, I'm heading your way to the yarn shop in the am! I got a new loom and want to get some inspiration.
Becky- You'll really like it here. The ladies are so nice. I look forward to getting to know you.
Smiles, Angie
