Jennifer~ Mail Art Pals for kids is a great idea!! I would love to organize it. I will start a new thread and get the ball rolling. Such a fun idea, I would have loved to do something like this when I was a kid.

Thanks for the information on how to join this list. I have always been intimidated by the amount of pages on this topic so never looked into seeing what it is all about. Tonight I decided to spend some time reading. I'm glad I did.

Today I got mail art!!!! Kim (The Handmaiden) sent me the most beautiful card containing a reproduction vintage needle package filled with sewing needles. What a sweet note inside, too. Thank you Kim! What a nice surprise.
Can't believe the mail art lives on and on so long, but glad it does!

okay. i have a challenge.
it's for all the farmgirls who haven't had time to send out their mailart over the summer. i'm one of them (sheesh; and i started the whole thing!).
i did take down name/address of who i owe cards to and now have them awaiting the post.
i'm all for making a bunch of cards at once and having them all set for sending in the future. this is what i've done so i don't fall behind again.
i'm moving to spain to start my farm life for real. i'll have my new address for the next list (i hope).

Climbergirl~ I think that's a great idea! I know I don't care WHEN I receive mail art, I just enjoy receiving it. And if you know that you won't have time for a few months, I am happy to remove your name and add it back later. It is a bummer to send each month with no receiving.

I received a very creative mail art tribute to Pavarotti with an old fashioned farmgirl touch. Loved the collage of one of the most famous singers ever with a mix of "real" cowgirls and your own special loved ones. Thank you, Suzanne; best mail I've had all month!

I have not checked in for many months so when I popped in to visit today, I was delighted to see that "Mail Art" is still happenig. This Mary Jane project now has quite a history since the first mention of getting this going was in 12/05 if I remember correctly.

You are welcome, Joy! I love doing my mail art, because it is my little time to myself to enjoy whichever season we are in (with coordinating cards) and whatever farmgirl I'm sending to!
