Got the ER and Ambulance bill today almost $7,000.00-

We have decent insurance through Blue Cross, but I do not know how much of this they are going to take care of...Mind you this is JUST the ER bill!

It makes me sick just thinking about it.

What on God's Green Earth do people do when they don't have health insurance?

That is just amazing. $7,000.00!!!! My goodness. It makes me sick thinking about it, also.

Those of us who don't have insurance simply don't go to the hospital unless it's life or death. Then we simply fill out all the papers for billing and they sometimes reduce the bill some based on your income. Then you make payments. My DH and I have about $13,000 in medical we are paying on from the baby's birth and then his spinal injury about 3 months later. It's hard, but it's life. You either get by or you give up.

It is hard. Hopefully your Blue Cross will take a good chunk of that out.

Melody, surely they will pay 80% won't they? That's what ours does. I hope so anyway.
