I am new on this forum, so please correct me if I am not doing this right. I am looking for any back issues of Mary Jane's Magazine. Does anyone have some I can trade for. I make lavender aromatherapy pillows, from the lavender I grow, and would be willing to trade for the back issues Also have vintage linens. Thank you, lavenderfarm |

Hi Nancy Jo, I live in Washington State and could send you a picture via email so you can see what the pillow looks like, so you can be sure you want to trade. Please let me know if you are interested and you can send my your email address. Thank you, Mary Lou |

Hi Nancy, I received your magazine and thoughtful gift! Thank you so much. I have been gone on a crisis and just returned home last night. I will send your aromatherapy pillow out tomorrow. Again thank you so much. Have a great evening and Memorial Day Week End.

I am still looking for Mary Janes Magazines, would like to trade an aromatherapy pillow (Lavender scented, grown by myself) or a vintage apron. I now have "No Place Like Home" thanks to Nancy. Does anyone have others. Thank you! Mary Lou |

Hi Nancy, How are things with you. I have been in full garden harvest. Canning like crazy. Love seeing the pretty jars of fruit pile up. Have you used your pillow? I hope you are getting some good from it. Have you received the latest issue of MaryJanes magazine. What a fantastic issue! |

Nosing my way in here...wondered if you have a retail shop in Twisp? If so, next time we head over the pass I would love to check it out! Are you familiar with a shop just out of Winthrop heading west on 20 that sells lavender items? I know she (I can't remember her name) told me her shop is full of things from local people, just wondered if you were her lavender supplier! BTW~~Welcome from another 'newbie' to this wonderful site!

Hi Dona, Welcome to the Farmgirl Connection! I did have a shop on our farm along with garden tours. Still have tours from curious travelers and neighbors. We had a lavender field and now downsized. In 2003 we moved to Idaho and closed the shop. I continued with mail order and supplying stores in the Winthrop Sun Mountain Lodge, Twisp, Spokane and Idaho area that we lived. We moved back to the same home in Twisp in 2005. I continue to sell mail order, including MaryJanes Magazine article Sept. 2006. I downsized my mail order to aromatherapy pillows. There is a cute little shop near Mazama on Hwy 20 called Farmhouse Gift Shop I was Jennys supplier, she now has some others too. It is a sesonal shop open in the summer months. The Winthrop gift shops may have some lavender products. Are you looking for anything in particular? Have a wonderful day! Mary Lou |

MARY LOU, ITS been forever since we have heard from you, I think of you everytime I see my beautiful lavender pillow. Its on my antique bed. So whenever you enter the room you can catch that lavender scent. Good luck getting some back issues, you can order then from the MJ site, but maybe you will get lucky and someone will have one to trade. I can highly recomend the lavender pillows. NANCY JO |

Morning Mary Lou! It was Jenny's shop that we've stopped at our last 2 times in Winthrop, I couldn't think of her name or the name of her shop-thanks for the memory jog:) I buy her Pure Lavender Hydrosol and spray it on our pillows and sheets at night. Actually I was going to give her a call to see if there is any other applications to use it on, but perhaps you could tell me? Is that one of your products? I also bought a neck pillow, it was done with a cowboy themed material, would that be yours also? We bought several things for gifts the last time we were over there, what a delightful person she is and her daughter is just like her. You sound like you keep busy supplying to those stores you mentioned. I bet your area is perfect for growing lavender, I'm sure the fields are lovely when in bloom. Winthrop/Twisp area is such a nice getaway for us and we always look forward to the pass opening so we can take our first drive each spring!

Back to you Dona, Yes Jenny is such a lovely young lady, she is very dear to me. The hydrosol is the buy product from distilling our french lavender. You can use the hydrosol in many ways. Spray in your linen closet, carpets, car, guest towels, skin spritz, hot flashes many more. The neck pillow (aromatherapy pillow was made by me. I do western, vintage, chabby chic, reto, embroidery names on them or whatever theme people prefer. Hope you are enjoying the pillow. Yes the Twisp/Winthrop area is a very nice area.
May your day be filled with joy! |
