Gosh, good luck. Our kitchen door only has a skeleton key and we have just the one. We always go out the front door when we lock the entire house up and lock it from the inside and leave the key there on a key rack by the door inside..I am so afraid to lose it.
I sure hope someone has a source for them.

Well, if your old locks are anything like ours, I can replace the skeleton keys with generic ones from Ace Hardware! Now, that said, I DO have other locks/deadbolts on the doors, but I just love the skeleton keys and old locks. You may want to try Ace... or any other sort of local hardware store might have them.

What a cool site Annie~! They even have a universal key that might work for you Barbara..
I love skeleton keys...I keep buying them at anique stores and such...just because I am afraid they will all be gone someday~~Lots of projects in mind....but for right now just have them hanging on pretty ribbons and in a hand painted dish for display..

That is a really good site, thank you so much. I have an old desk that I may be able to use their site for keys for it also. Loved the old sets for other door also. I knew finding this site was good luck!

Jan, maybe you could make wind chimes out of them? Just a thought.

Thank you again Annie, Barbara

Well we found a key!! The man at the salvage yard had a large ring of skeleton keys and let us take it home to try and lo and behold one fit. I can now open my beautiful front door. I will need to take ugly paint off the outside of it and then it will be perfect. Thank you for all your suggestions. Barbara
