Got to meet MaryJane today at Grosse Ile, MI. She is so sweet and humble for someone who has accomplished SO MUCH! We had fun with prize games and a yummy lunch. I was really hoping to get to meet more of my fellow MI farmgirl sisters, but I only met two (Rachel/Yart and Tracy, who was the whole reason that we got to meet MaryJane in the first place - thanks Tracy) - they were very sweet :) MaryJane started a Michigan Fargirls Apron and it is very beautiful. Tracy has first dibs and wore it today - it looked amazing on her (Tracy, I hope you post a picture). I can't wait for my turn!!!
I couldn't stay long because I had Truman with me and he needed a nap (teething makes a little boy very tired and grumpy). Everyone was so wonderful. Thanks ladies for a beautiful luncheon and thank you MaryJane for the special necklace and the chocolate. Wow! Never thought I'd have chocolate with habanero peppers in it. I've had chocolate and cayenne and that's spicy, but habanero takes it to a whole new level!!!
Anyways, here's a not-so-great picture that I got with my husband's iphone before I had to head out today :)

That is a beautiful picture of all three of you. Truman was my grandfathers name. I love it. Your Truman is really cute. Looks like his mommy.

Oh,Siobhan! If only I'd known! I wish I would have taken the time to talk to you. I was sitting at the table right next to you!! I was wearing the red plaid shirt, won the pillow for having my gun license with me (but not my gun)! We prayed for each other the night of the tornado warnings! I live near Lansing. For what it's worth, it was very nice to (sort of) meet you today! Your little man was so cute and very well behaved. My friend who was with me loved your baby carrier wrap thingie. She just found out last week that they're expecting their 3rd baby and she's all about making these things herself. Wasn't it a wonderful day? I'm still on cloud 9 from getting hugged & kissed by MJ!!  So glad to have made the drive. It was so worth it! You had to drive further than us. You must have been tired by the time you got home. I know I was.

Ya'll are so lucky! It sounds like ya'll had so much fun. I want to come to Mich. to visit my friend who lives there and to get a cabin on a lake for a few weeks. I love Michigan. It's so beautiful up there.
I am so glad you got to meet Mary Jane and some of the other farmgirls too.

I, too, would love the meet MJ . . maybe someday.
I did have the privilege of having a lovely phone chat with her back in May when she called me to talk about my selection as 2010 "Farmgirl of the Year".
We had a wonderful visit and I was so grateful for her taking the time to call me. A true farmgirl and lady of grace!!

The teething is going....it's frustrating in the moment, but it doesn't last too long. One of his top two has poked all the way through. Now to wait for the other one. Poor kiddo....
