Maybe we should "invite" one of the Hen-houses that have members that quilt?? For those of us that have swapped with each other already, we could do the same block and this time put our favorite quote, sign our name and date it. . . what do the rest of you think??

We make 1 block for each person. I also recommend sending 1 or 2 extra blocks because it has happened where a person has included themselves in the swap without letting me know.

Alighty. :-) I guess I have 3 blocks to make unless mamashaw is Annette Shaw. Oi! It's going to take a while for this quilt to grow. I personally wouldn't mind receiving blocks from people I've already received from (next time around I guess since this one is already going).

Tammy Lynn just email the gals that you already have blocks from and let them know that you want an extra block so they will know to send one for you.

Julie, just a thought. . . maybe next time we could do a "filler block swap" for those who want their quilts to get done sooner. Basically you use the same pattern just don't sign them. Want do you think?

Hint: to help your quilt "grow" be sure to add a sash around each block to help increase its size. Then you will not need as many blocks to end up with a finished quilt.

I like Joanna's idea. For the next swap, I'm game for making blank blocks, I'll just switch around the fabric!

Mel,
I'm with you. I'll just make up 1 for everyone with different fabric and sign for the new gals. If anyone doesn't like the idea, would you let me know. Please?

I know that I need to make 2 blocks this time for the new ones that signed up. I also I would like extra blocks from the ones that I already got from so how many do I send? I have extra blocks from the fabric that I have been sending Julie for the swap so I'll just make more blocks from a different frabic and send them also that way if anyone wants another block from me Julie will have them to send.

I'm a little confused. Am I making blank blocks for everyone (except the 2 new swappers) this time around or the next swap? I want to send my package out on time, but not sure how many I'm making!!

Teresa,
The way I understand it is: You have to make signed blocks for the new ladies. That's it. Some of us are throwing in enough blocks for each lady to recieve. You don't have to. We just wanna.
