o.k. I saw the thread on the yeast infection and thought I'd ask...

is there any herb or whatever for the dryness and itchiness that follows a hysterectomy (or many times natural menopause)???

apple cider vinegar washes helps more than anything else....I am highly allergic to just about anything....any suggestions????

I refuse to take any hormones by mouth or to "inject" any....

My thoughts are that the vinegar may help the itching for a short time, but in the long run is a very drying agent, ask your doctor, they're are many creams that are for just that purpose, no hormones.

Many natural things to try - Evening Primrose oil available in capsules, aloe cream for vaginal dryness, an over the counter supplement I believe called Estroven - wild yam cream - let me do some more research for you and I will tell you more - this is my special forte- herbal/natural medicine.
Just think of hot flashes as power surges lol!

I used Estroven, it takes a while to get into your system but once it does, it's great. At least for me it was.

Every over-the-counter cream I have tried and the two that I have been prescribed (including the $50 one I bought with a prescription) all had something in them one way or the other that I was allergic too...If there is a cream or any other medicine that has more than one ingridient it then is hard for me to tell what I am allergic to in it...

That's why I'm seeking herbal and natural remedies that I can try one at a time...
