I mailed out all 44 postcards today! That was fun! I can't wait to get some back! The postal lady was so funny, she said,soon as you get all the stamps on them bring them back to me....did she want to read them?? LOL! I could've dropped them in the slot, but she wanted them! I'm still laughing! (It's a pretty big post office also)
speaking of Postcards, If you have a Cracker Barrel near you, I got 50 postcards (Florida)for $1.00. On the sidewalk sale last year or the year before...can't remember now, but they are having their annual sidewalk sale this coming weekend...4th of July...you might find a bargain on PC's!
My husband was wondering why I had to have them....today when I mailed them, he was so happy! LOL!

I received an awesome postcard today form Jocelyn from Maryland and it was so funny I was in the Chesapeake Bay area when I was on vacation there about three weeks ago!!!

Well Girls, It is such a joy to visit my mailbox these days!! I have mailed out all of my postcards........that was fun for me to do.......but....getting them has been a joy!!! They are all so interesting to me. I see views of states that I have often wondered what they would be like and each has cool bits of info from you girls too! Wish I could visit each place on these cards. And my little Mama gets more excited about the mail running than I do!!
This has been one of my favorite swaps. Kind of like a little meet and greet by postcards from Farmgirls!
I am really going to miss this swap after all of the postcards have been delivered........but I do have a really neat photo book that I am keeping them in that allows me to see the front and still read the backs! They have also been a big hit with my grandkids too! They have lots of questions about each state.
Will be watching my mailbox for more fun places to visit!!

| Hi All, finally found some Ohio postcards, I don't live in a tourist area so they're impossible to find, but found some at our county fair. I've enjoyed hearing from everyone. It was cool to get postcards from Dana & Beth since we had done a swap in the past. *** a tip, if you having difficulties on finding postcards like I did... check with your Chamber of Commerce.
Funny story.. I am enjoying this a lot, so much that I have my beagle get one started with her dogster group friends do one with each other there. It is a neck to neck race between her and I on who get the most! LOL My mailman just shakes his head and laughs!

Dilavendar, I too live in Ohio in a town that had no postcards so I took a vintage photo and made mine. It was pretty easy to do. Bought Avery Laser Postcard stock at the local office supply store and used MS Word to create the card.
It was really a lot of fun to do!!! Good luck and am looking forward to receiving more postcards. They really make my day. Am putting mine in a photo album to treasure in the years to come. |

Theresa I think your post card was cool. I didnt realize you could make your own until I saw yours. I will use that idea in the future when hard pressed for postcards. It seems that postcards for vacationers is fast becoming obsolete. Looks like I have the start of a collection of "antiques". LOL!
