So my youngest son (see post "My batteries are dead") got out of the house yesterday and I didn't know it as the front door is supposed to be locked and have the alarm on. It is amazing how all that technology is useless when your other children don't simply shut the freaking door. Three policeman and many neighbors later my son ended up two streets over and luckily he stripped his clothes before leaving. My policeman proceeded to tell me (berate me) how this was a huge safety issue and he could get hurt, kidnapped, raped, killed, etc. Yea really guy? I only deal with this 24/7/365 and have to lock my child in his room at night so he can't get out while I am sleeping. Thank you so much for opening my eyes *heavy sarcasm*.
he then tells me to have a locator microchip implanted in him. After three hours online I can safely say that it does not exist for numerous reasons. Someone tried to come up with such a thing but there were too many issues and it was abandoned.
It isn't the same as having your pets tagged. What are the odds of my neighbors having a chip scanner? We have a Brickhouse locator tag but he pulls it off even if we put it on the back. Can't hide it in the shoes as he won't wear them. Not jewelry either.
One more day of school and my nightmare begins.

SAHM mom to four great boys.

Oh Kathryn...I am so sorry you went through that yesterday :( And for people to act like they understand and have all the answers that you should have makes it even worse. You are a great mother and are doing the best job you can. Don't let anyone tell you any different (((HUGS)))

You poor thing! My BIL went through the same thing. His son waas an absolute houdini! He went so far as to padlock the fence gates, but that only made the police even angrier when they couldn't get through the fence. He wound up movin to the country to put distance between him and the cops till his son grew up. I wish I had some advice for you. I will add you to my prayer list.

Wow Kathryn, I cannot even imagine what you are going through. Do the other boys help you with him at all? Or is it all up to you? I am thinking of you today and lifting up prayers for all of you.

Hugs, Kris

Believe me I do know what your going through and it's not an easy place to be. All you can do is keep on doing what you are doing. It sounds like you may need to look into finding other arrangements for your son. As hard as that sounds most places are really nice. I know I worked for over 35 years in mental health and I even had to take a child from his mom's arms we were all crying but to see how well adjusted he became and the peace that the family had was worth it. I also know that the staff try as hard as they can to just do their job, they always fall in love with the people. Your a good mom and your loves shows. Your family is in my thoughts & prayers.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.
