I'm sure this topic is already addressed but I feel so badly, I don't have the patience to search. I've been on 2 inhalers for weeks now. Two 26-hour flights in 3 weeks have taken their toll on my poor lungs. I really object to medications (surely I get enough chemicals in my body on a daily basis without breathing them in) and one of the inhalers is a steroid. What else can I do?
Ashma is tough. I've found that exercising (inside on a treadmill) and trying to get my lungs as fit as possible helps me. But I would talk to an MD. and find out what he/she recommends. If you don't like their answer, see a pulmonologist. good luck! dana

Try swimming you start to help heal your lungs and the exercising will help and the moisture is a plus too.

I have severe asthma and find that moisture helps and living in an area were there is less pollution is helpful in regulating how much medication I have to take.
