I made the MJF applesauce donuts in the last issue and they came out great! The recipe was super simple and I followed it precisely. Everyone loved those mini donuts, they were great with coffee too!
I had to order my pan on-line to bake the donuts in, but it was worth it. I hope there will be more donuts recipes in future magazines!

If you put chocolate over those donuts, give me a call. Marly

Oh I am so going to make these. I have been wanting to try baked donuts for awhile and recently found a donut pan at the Thrift Store for $1.00 :)
Thank you for your review Dawn :)

My son was born at home in Solvang, CA, Danish capitol of America. Aebelskiver pans are very common there, and I was happy to see MJ's recipes even though I am allergic to eggs and dairy, wah! In Solvang, the most broadly used method for turning the ' skiver, is with the use of a knitting needle. Very well known aroud Solvang! ~ Mary LD

Mary,
Did you know that you can subistute soy flour for eggs in baking? Use 1 heaping Tablespoon Soy Flour and 1 Tablespoon water for each egg :)

Sharon, have you tried it? Is it better for some uses than others? ~ Mary LD

Mary,
I have tried it. I have made cakes and Yeast breads using it and have had no problems at all :)
