I understand, Heather, completely, I finished my masters degree after having 5 children!! Then I taught first graders until I had to retire because of health reasons. It made me so sad to retire I LOVED teaching!! Most of the time we can do what we purpose and decide to do! I am proud of you and keep up the good work!! Smiles, Beth

They sound so cute, Angie!! Looking forward to the swap!! Smiles, Beth

Angie...those sound cute! And I love the idea of making them for stocking stuffers too, Delicia. I haven't even started one yet...but have my material and my idea's, that is half the process right there!

Angie I love the denim idea! I have 3 old pairs of jeans that I need to do something with and your idea just gave me an idea! My "sister" (best friend) is into crochet, I think I should make her a denim crochet hook book! She has a love of bright colors, and with the denim, I could use my sewing machine's wide and thick stitch to place bright-stitched stripes on the front! Yay! Thanks for the spark of inspiration! There's one christmas present down! Have a great day Angie!

Ahh thanks Beth! That is definitely encouragement I needed to hear today! A master's degree what a great achievement! I'm just hoping for a Photography A.A. or BFA! HeHe! I'll get there though one of these days! Thanks so much!
Hugs, Heather Nicole

I finished making My Felt Needle Book last night. It was fun but with my Fibro...it was a Labor of Love!
Can't wait until we get our names to exchange them. I know I will probably make some to keep on hand as little unique gifts of the heart.

Blessings,
~Peggy

Peggy whom ever recieves it will love it, I'm sure! I've been at that point with Fibro so I know how much love you have put into it! My experience: Having a hobby really helps keep you upbeat during rough spots with Fibro, it really does, it gives you a reason to get out of bed and work even with pain. Somedays I just couldn't do it though, my "hobby" was my attempt at majoring in musical theatre, and with ballet I danced through way too much pain. So don't torture yourself like I did! Stick to a hobby that you can work on only when you can! Hang in there my sister.

Love,
Heather Nicole

Okay, just so I'm clear on how this works: We make a needle book our of felt or whatever, and send it to our swap partner. Are there limits/requirements for size/materials/etc? If it's a general free-form "Make a needle book" I think I can handle that. Sign me up! If there are specific requirements, I'll probably still sign up, but I'd like to know what I'm getting into before I do.

Heather...thanks for the note of encouragement! If it wasn't for my hobbies, hubby, dogs and MJ Farm Sisters...I would stay in bed and throw the covers over my head...more days than I do.

Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day today!

Blessings,
~peggy

Hi Delicia,
I sent a reply to your email. I'm not sure if you'll remember, but I was your partner a while back for the handwritten recipe swap too! It will be great to swap again! Talk to you soon!
All the best,
Tina
