Hi Miriam -
My weekends are pretty tied up, but any evening after work (I get done at 3:30) would be fun. Maybe we could meet at the Crossings someplace and do a little shopping there or go get a bite to eat. I'm going away for a few days starting tomorrow, but will be back next Tuesday. Let's try to set something up. We have another farmgirl close by too - Darlene in Kunkletown - maybe we can get her to come too!

I am down in York PA, I only get up to the crossings when I see my inlaws in N NJ. Its a bit far for me to travel pregnant. I will send out a mass email about getting together as soon as some of this weather looks like it is going to lift.

| Hi, from another PA farmgirl! Unfortunately, I'm not from your area, but thought I'd chime in. I live in Derry, which is a small town about 45 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. In the summer I also spend time camping in Elk County, in northern PA. Just a couple of weeks ago, I spent some time in York and Gettysburg. One of my kids was in a volleyball tournament at York High School, so we spent the weekend there, and stopped at some antique places near Gettysburg on the way home. Very pretty area! Hi! I'm from Western Pa. I live in North Huntingdon AKA Irwin Pa. 35 miles east of Pittsburgh. We have traveled out east several times and we love it out there. We visit Gettyburg quite often as my DH sister lives there. Just noticing that Maggie is just up the road from me 30 minutes or so.

Maggie, I forgot to mention we also have a camp right on the border of Elk and Forest county. We go there quite a bit. We love it up there.

Derry! I only know that because I went to Hampton and we played Derry Area in football, it was a long drive on the bus. North Huntington isn't too bad either, are you close to the turnpike?

The closest towns to our camp is Marienville or Kane. As for the turnpike, it is right down the road about 5 minutes.

I, too, am from the western side of PA! About halfway between Pittsburgh and Erie...in Butler. Wish there was a chapter for us to get together occasionally. Always nice to know what every one is doing and being a part of each other's lives...

Alright ladies, I have decided that pennsylvania farmgirls need to finally meet up. I thought that it would be fitting to meet up at one of my local diners named Mary Jane's
Who would be interested in getting together March 10th at Mary Jane's restaurant in York County. The address is 4345 West Market St, York, PA 17404. It would be at 11:00 in the morning. If you are venturing a long way and would like overnight accomidations but want to rough it a bit. I have a very large upstairs and basement, but only two blowup beds.
The restaurant would need a reservation so please email me if interested. I would absolutely love to finally meet all the farmgirls that I can.
If there is an issue with the date, please say so and perhaps we can set up another in April or May

Oh Darn - I would love to meet up, but will be next door in Lancaster County that day for a big quilt auction. I already promised a dear friend we would go together this year.
