thanks, I picked up another jewelry box yesterday at a yard sale. That will be for my other granddaughter. Not sure what I will do with that one. I have till December to decide though.

Wow, Michele that is beautiful. Those types of jewelry boxes are everywhere and what a wonderful way to make a one of a kind design. So special.

Michele, I love your re-do thrift store find for a jewelry box for your granddaughter! You turned it into such a cute gift and I know it will be a hit!

The jewelry box looks beautiful Michele. I can't wait to see what you do with the other one.

I used vintage hankie quilts and some of the MJF fabric to make this quilt. I love it. Just in time for our cooler Florida weather.

I tossed out mismatched and cracked plastic boxes for leftovers. Now I'm using pint size canning jars for my lunch. They heat up nicely in the microwave.

My cat, Karl Catnip, spends a lot of time in the basement. I wanted to make him a little hideaway and saw this on Facebook (who knew?). I found a largish box, put in soft bedding, pulled one of my husband's unwanted 2x shirts over it, and voila! Karl climbs through the neck and cuddles inside. It's on the dryer so that the dogs don't pester him. My husband was ready to buy a teepee shaped hideaway, but I convinced him to give this cheap alternative a try.

Vanessa, that is neat. It makes for a much cheaper alternative. How is Karl liking it so far?

I think he likes it. If you zoom in on the photo you can see his white fur along the neckline.

Vanessa, love the canning jar idea for lunches, I'll have to try that. We did convert from plastic to glass tupperware containers, however, my boys are rough on them, many have chips on them now. Canning jar would be good for me and perfect for work! And, cool kitty house from a tshirt - very creative. Marsha, I love love your quilt made from hankies. I've seen many hankie crafts on line which all are just so beautiful. I'm a quilt girl anyways, something just so beautiful, thoughtful and the time to make one, so much love involved. Best feeling ever to be wrapped up in a handmade quilt.

I am getting ready to start another UFO project this week. I have had a window frame and all of the parts to turn it into a wall shelf for a very long time. It is time to get it finished so that I can finally put it up in our Family Room and enjoy it! It has been a picture in my head for a long time. I think that the time has come to get it finished. Hopefully that will make some extra space in that brain of mine for some other stuff!
