I don't think I have ever had them. But they sound so yummy. How do you fix them, Rea?

When they are fresh I just flour them and fry till crisp in butter. After I dehtdrate them I use them in Cream of Mushroom soup that I start by rehydrating them in beef broth then add heavy cream, thicken with a white rue.Another favorite thing is to add them to a brown gravy and serve over venison steak!

Oh mushrooms!!!!! I picked these with my dad as a kid. Our weather has changed and we no longer have them where I live, but my son lives by a lake and they go mushroom hunting there. We are going up to go camping and pick mushrooms. I can't wait to go. It is the thrill of the hunt that allures me. I have an issue with mold so I regretably can't eat them. Boo Hoo
