I saw this idea for an easy~peasy apron in a book and thought I'd give it a try with some colorfull fabric that I had won over on the "Flirty Apron Swap" blog.(you can check it out on my blog)

I really like the orange & brown color combo & I made the apron ties extra long so I can tie around in the front if I want.
It only takes 1/2 yd for the apron part, just shy of a 1/2 yd for the ties & ruffle and just a scrap (6" x 24") for the waistband.
It don't get any easier than that! And of course...always a couple of yoyo's on the pocket & ties...

here is another version of the same pattern...only after I was down & uploading the picture did I realize I forgot to put a pocket on my apron...but I have enough fabric to do so....I still have to make some yoyos for it too...oh well....just got a little ahead of myself. hahaha!

the ruffle peeking underneath is from a different apron...
and of course what's an apron w/o Bling! lol!

Good OB's Heather...yep, both are from the fabic line of Denise Schmidt ~ Katie Jump Rope series...

Mary, the book is (101 sew) 'One Yard Wonders' by Rebecca Yakers (& another co-writer)....
I found & bought it a fun fabric shop called "Top Stitch" in Spokane but you can find it on Amazon.com as well.
I bought it locally to support a terrific little shop.
