They are already out and about here! My hands and arms are covered in bites from where I sat out on my backporch the other evening and read my book. I'm going to start putting on that Skin So Soft when I go outside, it seems to help. It seems awfully earlier for mosquitoes this year, though.

They're here, too. Sometimes our winters are so mild that they never really leave. But, with the freeze we got this time we actually had days without the little critters. It was a nice relief.

I wish I could say that Skin So Soft and other natural resources like citronella really worked for me. They work for a few minutes or on a day with a light breeze. But, most of the time I have to resort to regular chemical products. I hate that.

Spray trucks come around in the middle of the night from time to time and it really does get rid of mosquitos for several weeks. BUT, it also kills the fireflies and other beneficial insects. That's not good. Plus, what are we breathing that they sprayed? We're kinda stuck.

Elaine, we don't have skeeters yet, but we have bees! My Mom is really allergic to them, so already we have to be careful when going outside.

I'm glad we're not at that stage yet! Yuck. There's a shop out of Whitehorse, Yukon called Aroma Borealis. I swear by their Bug Off spray, it smells beautiful and all the bugs avoid you. They're on line.

Also in a pinch I've blended Eucalyptus and Lavender oils in Sweet Almond oil and used that, it also works.

Have not seen any skeeters yet, but we just had our first day in the 70's. I am sure they are awakening!
