Cabbage plants can take a light frost, I am in the same growing zone as you are. I started my cabbage seeds last week and will put them out when they are a few inches tall and have some permanent leaves on them. I had a really good crop of cabbage last year. I use coffee grounds and crushed eggshells that I sprinkle around the plants to ward off slugs. It worked great last year. Homemade saurkraut, yummy!
Why not go out on a limb, that's where all the fruit is! "Mark Twain" http://studiodiphotosite.shutterfly.com/ farmgirl sister #922 |
