Did a little raking this morning and much to my amazement I discovered the color purple! I am unsure of the perennial plant---I thought they were "snowdrops" but these little beauties have just a sliver of deep dark purple on what looks like a little cluster of intense bright green grass like leaves.

Any ideas what this tender brave little flower is called?

It warmed my heart on this blustery day in the UP to finally see the color PURPLE!

Thank you dear Lord----Spring has arrived in the Great North Woods!

Green is such a nice color to see to confirm that Spring has sprung! LOL. I noticed today that my crepe mrytles are budding. Slowly, but surely. I love the beginning of Spring.

Congrats on your first signs of spring! I am still just being thrilled at seeing some green! I don't know what your plants are, but maybe your extension agent knows?

I can't see the link to your pic so won't hazard a guess there...

When we were home the other day, I noticed that my Iris's were poking up and out. My hen and chicks may have made it, may have not. Don't know yet. My lavendar looks a little dead at the moment. My rose bush made it plus the boxwoods. Even the dianths (sp??) made it, all of them!! The elderberry is sprouting little buds. My rhododendren looks good too. The mint is trying to spread out. The honeysuckles look dead/dreary but hubby says they're faking it and will rebound. Our $5 Ash tree is giving a game try too.

I'm probably forgetting something but I was pleasantly surprised.

Awesome! Thats great news, it has been really pretty here. Other than alot of rain. Lots of beautiful flowers, I have some very small dainty purple flowers in patches in my yard, they make me smile! Hope you will be finding more new birth in your area soon! Blessings,Karen

Yellow is the color here. Buttercups (Daffodils) are up and the forsythia is nearly bloomed out now. The grass is getting so green, we even mowed our back yard this past weekend. Today's high is to be 60 and the rest of the week the temps will be in the 70s and upper 70s.

Melody - your little plants sound like the tiny little grape hyacinths that come up this time of year, both in my back yard and out at the farm.

Janice... No I know grape hyacinths---not that---these are almost "tear-drop" shaped and a lovely deep purple---no scent though.... put too much into looking that good! I will check on line and see if I can discover what on earth I planted! LOL

My white iris's have bloomed and the pear and peach trees look greatwith all the blooms this year.My hydreangeas are geting leaves. My favorite thing is opening the windows and watching the curtains sway in the breeze.I can admire some of my beds from the window and I can smell them too!

It's all good!
