What a great feeling! As I do my yard work this year (1st summer of being divorced) I realize it is all mine and I can do whatever I want, however I want. It is really the first time that I have felt good about being alone. I have so many idaes for the yard and garden that I can hardly stand it!

The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.

Good for you, Rea. My alone gardening time is one of my favorites. I think about stuff and solve problems while I work. Tell us all about what you do and post pics if you can.

I remember the first summer after I divorced, too, Rea. I did the same thing...I turned that yard upside down and did all the things that I tried to enlist my former dh to help with but he couldn't find the initiative. It's a great healer, truly, and Janice is right--you think about so much while you're out there, under the sun.

I wish you peace and happiness as you enjoy your new freedom. I will be excited to see your photos of your garden. What is the first plant you are going to put in?

Rae, I hope you get to do all yoe want to do. I am a part time wife. Hubby drives a truck. He really doesn't care what I do around here as long as it's not too much work for him. So I am kind of like you. Have a wonderful time!

Kris

Good for you, Rea! I know the first year after my divorce was a really freeing experience. You go Farmgirl!!

Rea,
My sister is going through a divorce right now.
She emailed me to tell me she spent the whole weekend crafting and had stuff all over the table and no one was there to care about the mess. She's lovin it
