So what do you get when you combine a bunch of farm babes, starbucks & a antique shop???
yep, the "Junk Bunch"

(Brenda's future little vintage shop on her property)

What a fun day we had, firemama, pastblessings, dairyprincess, kpaints & katmom...
We met up at Spencer's Antique Shop over in Spokane, encouraged each other to spend money...we'll explain to our hubbies later, then we hit Starbucks for a caffine fix...then firemama loaded us into her 'mommy~mobile' and drove us over to pastblessing's soon to be new farm home then we all went over to the Hillard area for some more antiquing...and spend what last few dollars we had left! lol!

I was doing soooo good NOT spending money until the Eastlake mirror tripped me . . . I have been looking for that puppy for years . . . it will be perfect for my antique Eastlake dresser . . . once I refinish her. It was fun . . . though I think we need a whole junking weekend . . . road trip with a big ol' empty trailer to haul back our finds!!

Hugs & Blessings,

Brenda

well, I will be posting pics soon...I hand washed the vintage "Lucy House Dress" that I bought, as well as another apron and the vintage little girls dress & babay Kimono...I just need to iron them and then I can take & post pics...
Ok, so firemama spent .54cents...I know roughly what pastblessings spent so I'm betting she is the winner.!!!..it's probably a tie tween kpaints & me for 2nd place and dairyprincess...you need to fess up! lol!
Oh & Rene' I was on the look out for ya for an old Underwood type typewriter but no luck this time around!.

I think between Spencers and O'Briens (or McSomething, as you call them Gracie!) I spent about $60 or $65. Considering Eastlake mirrors go from $200 to $400, I am still pleased as punch . . . pleased as punch?! Wonder where that saying came from?! I mean punch has no brain, so can it really be pleased?!

Hugs & Blessings,

Brenda

Ok, here are a few more pic's of the goodies I found...

I had to dissasemble this tot dress, do some repair & reassemble it...I am guessing it's from the early to mid 1960's.

I can't believe that in the almost 40 years of living in Calif I never bought a sougviener California scarf! lol!
Yes, that is another apron you see....
I luv the sweet little diaper soft baby jacket with embroidery. I had(still stashed in a trunk) a couple that where given to me as hand me downs for my daughter 33 years ago. Loved them then and still love them...tho this is the first one I have seen in over 30 years.

I call this my " I Love Lucy" house dress..... it is a quilted paisley print house dress/robe. It was a bit snug but I was able to let out the darts a bit to fit better.
I washed everything in lavender laundry wash and a tad of "OXY Clean" to help get out the musty smells.

Brenda, I luv your Eastlake mirror....and thanx for spotting the little tot dress for me....
You need to have a "Past Blessing~Vintage Barn show" so I can sell some of my stash & buy more stash! lol!

It really was a super fun time! You can check out my finds on my blog if you like. Katmom found me the cutest little Mexican themed baby lamp for Trailer Trash, my 1959 Aljo. And Firemama found me a vintage mexican table cloth! I am in heaven!
