Has anyone ever taught english as a second language in another country?
It is where you don't need any teaching experience or a formal education to do so. I found this company called Oxford Seminaries online that states if you take their class.... they will help you get placed as a teacher in the country you want to be in.
I am just curious... because my daughter has been talking about doing this after she is done with the University.

I haven't done it personally, but two of my friends have. One taught ESL in Taiwan, the other in Korea. They both really loved it, and made such amazing friends and connections. Dave, who just got back from Korea, recently was accepted on scholarship to George Washington University as a poly sci major. It looks good on resumes, too :)

Hey, my sister taught ESL in Japan this way. As long as you can figure that the company is legit and locate a country that is well paying (unless money is not the object, but experience is), then it should be fine. She had fun and learned a lot about another culture.

My brother did it for a while in Thailand (and I helped him out sometimes too)
