This looks really intriguing, and I am thinking very seriously about signing up for it. However, because I have CFS, I have to be really careful about not signing up for more than I can actually handle. That said, I have some questions: Are we supposed to handmake all the parts for the angel, or can we use store-bought parts? I will probably hand-knit the dishcloth or use one I've already knitted, because I am the Dishcloth Queen - when I am bored or between projects, I make dishcloths. I don't know how to make potholders (except knitted/crocheted ones) or hand towels though, so I would have to buy those. Is that okay? How do we make them more "farmgirl"? I am sorry for asking so many questions; I just need a little more data about exactly what I'm getting myself into before I get into it. I don't want to sign up for something and then realize I can't follow through on it and leave a fellow Farmgirl disappointed.
Thanks! Lis *the Sourceress*

Hi Lis! The directions are for store bought items, but few of us are having some difficulty with an item or two. I say... go with the flow and do what works for you to create the angel. You can buy some or all of the parts, make some or all of the parts.. even add parts to it.. like embellishments and such. Just have fun and bring a smile to who ever gets yours!
Stress free and fun is the goal! and brighten a farmgirl!

Karrieann, please remove me from this swap. For whatever reason, my creativity is not functioning very well so rather than fight it, I am just going to step back from it.
Thanks, Carole

Mine is done too! Just awaiting my name to send to. Are we swapping with the same person we send to or are we sending to someone and receiving from someone else? Just wondering how you were working it out Karrieann. BTW, thanks for setting this all up for us!

Okay, I haven't quite made it to the store yet, but I'm planning to go pick up the stuff to make my angel the next time I go down to Frederick, so go ahead and sign me up. I think I can do this. :-)
(I decided to just use a storebought dishcloth in the angel, and send a hand-knitted one separately with it, because the knitted ones don't fold up very well - they're too bulky - so they don't work very well for angels, and because that way whoever gets my angel will be able to use the knitted dishcloth without taking the angel apart (and after all, that's what I make them for - I promise that once you've used a hand-knitted dishcloth, you will be spoiled, and not want to use store-bought ones again!))

That is entirely up to you... I am sure many like myself have already chosen and make our "angeles". So, if you already made yours and your swapper likes different... no worries because thats the beauty of the unexpected. For myself it would be very impossible to do the preferred colors because I seriously am limited to what we have to purchase in our small town with limited stores and they do tend to sell according to the seasons.
I will get the name of our partners shortly! :o)
