What a lovely couple!!! That couldn't be any prettier of a background. Maybe I'll post an update...we had a photo taken on our anniversary last Summer--that's about as "recent" as I get :)

Here it is....

We were on a trip to North Carolina, but now I remember this shoppe was in Jonesboro, Tenn. on one of our daytrips. I loved that shop, too and the whole town. So picturesque and is said to be the oldest town in the state. I want to go back next fall.

Jonni - wish your photo were bigger.....I know mine is a little too big.....but I would love to see your face more clearly! So pretty.

Karen - keep trying....there is a tutorial on how to post photos under FAQ above.

Here's a photo from this farmgirl's life. For the person that asked...does this help put a face to the name?

I'm going to try again, and make them bigger...
Alee, I may need some guidance!!

This pic is a few years old. Most of my pics are of me blinking, eating or just no good. I'm almost always on the other side of the camera.

Well when I look at myself in the mirror these days , I say to myself that can't really be me. I remember a cute younger version and now that I am 50 I just to me don't look like myself at all. But I will try and find one cause I just don't get in many photos anymore cause I have gain weight and it just doesn't seem to me at all. I think I am looking at another person. Must be going through a mid life crisis or something!!! hehehehehehe Beverley with an extra E

I turn 50 in a month. I just still have really dark hair naturally. But I sure don't feel like I look young...I feel young most days ..but when I look in the mirror I look like my grandma on my dad's side now. That is a new thing for sure.

Jenny,
The part about looking like your grandmother, just yesterday we had a bunch of the CPS kids here for a BBQ (16 teenage boys) and a couple of them saw a picture of my grandmother on the coffee table and said "is that you Brenda"? Wow, that is a new thing for sure, LOL, I just hope her picture was taken when she was 47, cause that is how old I am. :O) LOL! The other thing, some of the boys wanted to see pictures of my husband and me when we were younger. It was the 70's, one of the boys said "I've seen these kind of pictures in the text books, never thought I would meet anyone who used to look that way". Ugh!

You just have to laugh and keep loving. This summer, laughing was a bit harder. Once, I was walking with my mother and my daughter, and a gal coming towards us stopped us and asked if we were sisters. Mom was tickled, and I took a heartbeat and smiled. Mom said it made her summer. Earlier, I was at a family get together. A cousin (about my age) came up and said I looked just like his 2nd grade teacher...my grandmother who passed 14 years ago. Everyone commented on our resemblance. I'm in my 30's, but I took the heart of what they were saying as a complement. What a dynamic gal Grandma was, and how neat that they think of her when seeing me.

We make a difference. http://huckleberrywine.blogspot.com

This is me, last year. It was taken near the Potomac River in the USA. My first trip to the USA and I loved it, every single second of that vacation.
I turned 51 this past June, YIKES 51! But I am proud to be it and don't mind mentioning my age LOL!

Hugs from Marian/Dutchy, a farmgirl from the Netherlands :)

Michelle,
I agree...for many years my family always said I resembled my grandmother and I always and still do take it as compliment. I think it is nice that they think of her when they see me, as your family does with you. But now that I am closer to the age of her in the picture and someone for the first time thought it is was me instead of saying "looks like", it made me laugh and I wasn't quite ready for that one! LOL! :O)

you are almost there Suzanne! You just have to put [ img] picture url here [ /img] and of course remove the space in the brackets. I just put it there so that the forum didn't think the text was a picture.
