We are staying with my hubby's sister. She doesn't want her yard dug up. But there is a poured cement pad in the back. It looks like it was mean for a dog run. So I am putting containers on this. There are metal poles that might have been for the fence. So am planning to string something around them to use as trellis.

Help with using containers?

I think it's great that you aren't letting your living arrangement squelch your farmgirl ideals. There are a bunch of dwarf trees that might do well.

It's all good!

Herbs and flowers together do very well in containers, as do tomatoes, bell peppers, hot peppers, lettuces, I am trying peas this year, they have sprouted already. I have been doing herbs in containers outside on a deck for years. Madgardener # 697 It is Earth Day Everyday

I all ready have tomatoes and one large strawberry and lots of blooms same with my tomatoe plants. Just love seeing all those blooms. I've been doing container gardening for years very well. My peach trees are full of blooms this year.
