I posted this over in stitching, but I thought I would put it here as well.

Since joining Mary Janes Farm a couple months ago, I've been inspired to learn how to sew and am now making some of my own clothes. I wrote about it in my blog and posted pictures of some of the things I made. They really aren't anything fashionable by any means, but they were a good repurposing of fabric!!

Let me know what you think, and thanks to MaryJanesFarm and the farmgirls who work and play here for the inspiration!!

Nice work! I don't know how to sew at all and I'm really impressed by those who do and can. And I like that you did re-purposing.

Hey Sweetie,

Your blog ALWAYS makes me smile. Good job! How about you teach me to sew and I teach you to knit? :)

Amy, Nice job. I used to make all my own clothes...jeans, jackets you name it but time ran out out, fabric and patterns got expensive so now it's just "store bought" junk! I love the idea of your repurposing!! Keep us posted on your sewing progress.

Amy, I think you did a great job on your skirts. keep it up and you'll be sewing almost everything you wear. Just stick with it. If you have any questions I'll be glad to help any way I can.

Blessings, Sheri
