Since I'm sharing super-interesting links, the Michigan State University Library has this great website called "Feeding America: The Historic American Cookbook Project." It is a compilation of digital fascimiles of hundreds of period American cookbook from the 18th century to the early 19th century. Searchable by author, title, recipe, or ingredient, with browsing functions, this website is a treasure trove of historic recipes from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, including Jewish, Chinese, and Pennsylvania Dutch!

Here's the link: http://digital.lib.msu.edu/projects/cookbooks/index.html

Enjoy, ladies!

I'm glad you like it, ladies! I, too collect vintage cookbooks. My favorite find? A 1919 household & cookery book I found at an estate sale in sad condition for five cents! A little airing out, a few swipes with a soft dry cloth and it was good as new!

My favorite kinds of cookbooks are the ones with good (and easy) cake/dessert recipes, and vegetable dishes!
