I talked to my brother who lives in Calif. and he said he was trying to give away lemons from his lemon tree, I told him to package them up and send them to me. Then I started telling him about drinking lemon water and the benefits. So now I will print him the page and send it to him. Connie

Hi Sharon!! Well my favorite herbal book is called 'Herbal' The Essential Guide to Herbs for Living By Deni Brown. This book has herbs from A to Z and shows what they are used for and how to grow them. It is one of my favorites! I will try and think of more. Hugs Channah

A tbsp. of lemon juice in an 8 oz cup of warm water works wonders to rid the body of a urinary tract infection. It is a quicker remedy than cranberry juice. the warm water travels through the system faster and therefore can give relief quicker. I do this whenever I feel one coming on. Not so much anymore as I have made it a habit to drink lemon water.

Yesterday I bought a couple pounds of lemons. Don't they look pretty? Anyway, I am going to start drinking lemon water and I remembered that up in my cupboard I have an old (vintage) ceramic lemon juicer from some relative on my dad's side, I think. Anyway, it's painted with lemons and stems and leaves. Now I feel even more motivated. Plus I have a pink depression-type glass pitcher with lid that could hold my lemon water in the fridge, if I get that ambitious to juice that many lemons. Again, the pitcher is from a relative who is gone now.
I made a glass last night and this morning with a whole lemon and it was tart and refreshing. I wasn't sure I would like it without sugar but it's great.
Thank you, Channah, for letting us know about this.

Channah, I started drinking lemon water right after you first posted about it and I think it's great! Most times I put a teaspoon of honey in mine. Sometimes if I want something different I shake a little cinnamon in it. Honey and cinnamon both have benificial health aspects. Thanks again for the lemon water suggestion. Dana

I have been trying to regularly drink lemon water and this past week I purchased organic lemons because they were much larger than the regular lemons. Oh, my goodness, the tartness! I thought the regular lemons were pretty good, but the first organic one really puckered my tastebuds. Yay, organic.

Thanks for the info. I just poured myself some water and squeezed a lemon. Tina Kay
