It was 4 layers, One on top so it popped out and stood up, it was something I have been wanting to try.

Dear Mail Artists,

I agree that we all need to, at the very least, post that we HAVE RECEIVED mail art pieces, and THANK the sender. I have even sent out a group email to that effect . . . and all the other communication issues. We all need to make the effort to do this and take the time . . . it is just plain COURTESY!!!!

It is even better when pics can be posted . . . to share with the rest of us. AND, it is also taking the "THANK YOU" a step further by sharing it.

It's very easy to post a pic
It's extremely easy to post a "I RECEIVED . . THANK YOU" reply.
THANKS GIRLS!!
CJ . . . your Coordinator/Organizer

I got a beautiful "jar apron" from Marilyn (#1100), sorry I couldn't read the last name. It is needle felted and embroidered and is amazing. I appreciated the note too. Thank you Marilyn. I am trying to upload a pic, but I am still having trouble with the directions.

Christine I'm glad to hear that your jar apron arrived! It was so much fun to make that I stayed up waaaay too late one night getting to the finish line. I hope you will be able figure out how to upload your picture - I need to buy a new camera but haven't had time to go looking.

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Thank you, Fellow Farmgirls, for the compliments on the mail art I sent and posted. I always want to give someone the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps a Farmgirl is going through a trying time and can't reply. Anyway, here is another mail art project I created and mailed for August. I just need to get the hang of rotating my pictures! Hello fellow farm girls!
I just adore all the mail art this fall! All your hard work is appreciated, I'm sure! :-)
Today I sent my Nov. mail art to Connie In Kentucky.
In the excitement of getting mine done & in the mail today, I forgot to take a photo of it.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.... May we all be filled with a thankful heart.
Blessings,
LadyDarcy

I think I finally got it......had to make the picture small, hope it works, it is beautiful. Had it with me when I went to a craft demonstration and everyone loved the idea of a jar apron. Again, thank you Marilyn.

Christine,
If you use then new way of posting pics . . . the little button just at the top left above these reply boxes, it resizes it for you. AND, no Photobucket is necessary.
It's very easy once you get the hang of it.

On this gray and gloomy day here in the Pacific Northwest I received a day brightener from Dianne (textilelover). Isn't this just the sweetest ...a little apron that opens up and has a message in it just for me plus a recipe that has one of my favorite ingredients ... CHOCOLATE!! Dianne: the gingerbread girl button fell out of the envelope. I presume it was meant for the apron pocket? Thanx a bunch, Sharon

I finished my mailart...so I'll be mailing it out on monday....:)

Sharon, Yes, the button was supposed to be in the pocket, but I didn't want to glue it in case you wanted to use it elsewhere. And, as I said earlier, I used the "apron" idea and template from a BEAUTIFUL card a fellow farmgirl sent to me over the summer. Once I photograph the cards I have received, I will post those too. CJ, what's the trick to rotating photos using the icon on the forum? Mine keep coming out sideways! Dianne in the Hudson Valley

Dianne, I believe you'll have to rotate those in whatever photo program you have on your computer before uploading them here. I don't think it'll rotate for you. Do you have them on your computer?

Monica . . . you don't have to use the instructions for uploading from Photobucket unless that is how you want to do it. You can just upload straight to this reply box by clicking on the little picture icon at the top left corner. Then when the upload box opens click on browse, select your photo and then it should put the link in the box and you can click on "Upload". It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier than the old way.

If that doesn't make sense let me know and I'll try to help you out. If you want to use the old way, then go to the TECHNICAL SUPPORT section at the bottom of the FG Connection forum, click on it and go to Photo Posting Instructions by Gabe.

Hope this helps!!
CJ

Yes, the little icon is a BIG help, but it took soooo long (I have dial-up) that I stopped it and re-sized the photo in "Picture-It" then it went right thru. And I love seeing the pictures too......it is time for Christmas ideas.....little things to give friends, I get great ideas from you all.

This beautiful card was received from Susan Harmon in October. Susan, it was so nice to read your note, and know we were both busy working cattle! And for sharing a nice memory about your grandfather, my grandmother always had pansies also, so, thank you for the sweet memory~
