Gorgeous fall mail art! I am mailing mine out today to Jenny in Sparta (we're practically neighbors!). Sorry for the delay. Busy at work and at home. Christine in KY:Our Education Department at the college is thinking of buying a Cricut or a Sizzix. I don't know much about either. How do you like the Cricut? Dianne in the Hudson Valley

CJ-recieved your beautiful mail art! LOVED IT!!!! There's just something about getting REAL mail that puts a smile on your face and when it is pretty mail that just puts it over the top! I've done this three months and I've loved every one sent to me. I'm keeping every one and starting a journal to keep them in. (BTW-I'll post a pic as soon as I can-my internet access is a little erratic right now)

Happy Fall to All!!

Hey, I wonder if everyone could sign their cards with their MJ call name as well as their real one? It sure would make it more fun and easier to find posts. Thanks, hope that's ok with you CJ.

Hey Mail Artists . .
. . as mentioned by Karen (aka . . kpaints) above. I think it would be GGRRRRREEEEEEAAAAATTTTT if we all signed our mail art with BOTH our "real" names AND MJ forum name.

I hope you all are including a little personal note with your art . . it's not required, but it is REALLY NICE and makes it EXTRA SPECIAL!!

Keep up the MAH-VAH-LOUS WORK!!!

Oh, goodie! This will make it so much easier for me to rememeber who sent what, instead of just a single first name!! Thanks.

Diane in New York, Connie actually used the Cricut, machine, I just watched. I think it was Cricut Expression and I liked it....I don't know anything about Sizzix. I'll ask Connie to post her opinion of the Cricut. One girl who was at the demo is haunting Ebay looking for a deal, and will probably get one.

Just sent my mail art out to Kathy in Eldridge,MO. Post office says it should get there by Monday or Tuesday. EXCITED! :-)
Took me a while to get it done...had out of town family visiting for a few days.
And of course in the excitement in getting it done I forgot to take a picture of it. Oh well...just hope Kathy likes it.

Christine asked me to post my opinion of the Cricut machine. This was more of the top of the line model as Christine said, user friendly I felt and versatile. I enjoyed trying it out and would use it in a limited way (such as using the one at our local County Extension Office), but would not spend the money for one myself. In mail art and card/collage making, I enjoy using found objects and cutting out of old magazines, books, etc. But if you like a more professional, stylized look then the Cricut would be great.

Hi everyone. My mail instructions have arrived. I can't wait until November to get started. My mail art is very close to being complete.

This is a great idea!

Thanks CeeJay for the info. What a good idea, plus I GOT MAIL that wasn't a bill. Always a happy day.

Hi! I mailed my art to Kim in Gettysburg yesterday afternoon. (I could/should have hand delivered it...I was in Gburg yesterday with a group of friends and passed your road going in and coming back. Wasn't really looking for it but I guess since I just prepped the envelope with your address the road sign seemed to jump out at me as we passed.)
Our area sure is putting on it's fall colors - it was a beautiful day to be in PA.

Blessings, staci FG# 973

Just received the best October Mail Art from Marilyn Edlund. Its much more than just mail ... its a true piece of art! The background is a lovely watercolor on top of which is a black cutout tree with an owl and bats perched on the branches. A haunted house is also applied to the watercolor with bats, spiders and other spooky critters at the window. The landscape is dotted with ghoulish critters some with pop out eyes ... googly and bejeweled. And of course there is a witch flying by on her broomstick. Ghosts and goblins galore. Eeeeeekkkk!!! Thanx so much for all your efforts Marilyn. Super job
