Virginia (Machias, ME) I owe you a big apology for not thanking you. Your card is too cute: three D, jewels, pictures of the farm, a poem and a recipe, too. I really cant thank you enough. Please excuse my poor manners. I do appreciate all your work. Susan

Lisa,
To answer your question about how many Mail Artists . . .
. . . there are 61 on my list right now. . . . there are about 3 who are taking the month of October off . . . there are 3 potential newbies to add.
There are several who do not post on the forum, or participate in the connection. They are doing the mail art and that is about it.
If everyone who has signed up and participated at one time or another were ALL still participating, there would be about 90.
There ya' have it! CJ

Jessie,
To answer your question . . . ALL mail artists ARE registered as users on the Farmgirl Connection. That is a requirement. And, yes, it is specific to the Farmgirl connection. It is just that there are several who are participating ONLY in Mail Art and none of the other areas on the Connection. And they just don't post to anything, including Mail Art. But it IS a way for these gals to connect!!
I often get inquiries from interested individuals who are not registered as a user on Farmgirl Connection. I let them know that we would love to welcome them to FG and to Mail Art but the first step necessary is to become a registered user on Farmgirl Connection.
Hope that helps . . . . . and you're not being nosey. It's a reasonable question.
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU MAIL ARTISTS!! CJ

Cindy Meyer: I received your mail art last week; it was very creative and fun! Sorry for the delay, but I've had company from out of town, etc. and I'm just now getting around to posting it. Thank you so much. I appreciate your quirky sense of humor. Here's a picture of it:

Hi Monica, I knew it was a little risky. I didn't want to skewer Wizard of Oz, (I love it) but I did want to make a play on words. Thanks for understanding my "quirky" humor. I like that. I think I'll refer to my humor as quirky from now on because it is! |

I had to share Staci's wonderful mail art. She's so creative. She altered a photo of her camper and made it so she could color it with colored pencil.
The best touch is the chair she said they "saved for me." :-) I can't get the photo to insert, so I followed the directions to use photo bucket, and here's the link.
Sorry. Still learning. But cut and paste the link. It's so worth it!

I have only been a member of this swap since June 2010 and it has been one of the most enjoyable ones that I have joined. I am so glad that I joined.

Jill Lillan [/quote I think it should eventually get to me with the zip code being correct. I checked today and it hasn't arrived yet. Still anticipating!

Susan H, Sis # 1958
Received your lovely cross stitch mail art over the weekend. I used to cross stitch but I decided that it takes too much time! Thank you so much. It says "Conserve, Preserve, Ejoy" All thigs we farmgirls try to do. One of these days I will tackle photobucket so that I can share the real thing. It's beautiful and I will diplay it proudly with the others I have received.

Kristin from GA...Your mail art went out last Friday-only a couple of days late. You should be getting it soon if not already.

Not to worry Susan H.! I was afraid I had forgotten to send you one and that is why I asked. LOL I hope you feel better soon! BTW, you can call me Ginny, only my Mother, when she's mad at me, or a bill in the mail, call me Virginia.

Received my mail art card from Lisa (Elkaye) yesterday just in time for the beginning of Autumn. A beautiful fall card with golden leaves and wooden barrel. Lisa, thank you for the beautiful card.

Jessie and Catherine...adorable mail art! Indeed Pearfect!
And I also loved the Wizard of Oz Mail Art. Very cute!
I think we need photobucket classes for the newer gals C.J. Maybe you can again copy and post the MJF Instructions for using Photobucket and the girls can print it and practice. That is what I did...until I mastered the bugger! :+) If I can do it anybody can...trust me! I lost my brain in a Fibro-fog and haven't found it for about 6 years now! LOL
