Oh, Ladies I received the cutest Mail Art from Karen Bates today... it was a pretty "Seed Packet" Themed Card with a Poem inside, called Thoughts In the Garden by Andrew Marvell. And a lovely personal note from her. Thanks so Much Karen...it was soooo Pretty!
And I have been really ill for about 5 days and today my Mailbox was full of Farmgirl fun! That is better than any medicine the Dr. can prescribe. Trust Me!!
I am finishing my Mail Art today and it will go out in tomorrow's mail!

Beautiful! I have received so many lovely mail art projects, but when I try to post them from Photobucket, I only get links, not pictures, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I followed the directions from Gabe and the others who posted tips, but I'm stumped! Peggy, so glad to hear you're on the mend. Dianne

Gail, Thank you for the mail art, your such an encouragement to me...It is beautiful! (No I didn't get one for July), your such a sweetie! love the beautiful work you put into it and you make me so...excited in being apart of mail art. It really challenges me , how and what to make for mail art , you sure can brighten up a farmgirl... Thank you I really needed it today as well...God is so good all the time!

I just got the most amazing piece of mail art ever from Jessica, "Girl Friday". She said she had been on vacation and didn't have time to do mail art. So she sent me this beautiful button sculpture her and her daughter had made. It's a small green triangular glass jar with all these cool buttons strung with wire and stuck in the jar. The buttons are on top of the jar. It's so neat. I love it! It's just about the coolest thing I have ever gotten. I can't imagine how ya'll did that. I hope you have a picture of it so you can put it on here for everyone to see. I still can't do that. And I know my description didn't do it justice at all. Just take my word for it, it's amazing.

Diane.....textilelover. I had the same thought when I first tried posting with the photobucket links but although it shows up as a link in the initial post when you submit to the forum it actually shows up as a pic in your post. Try it!! (No one explained that problem to me either, so I just braved the hit and wala! there it was) :)

Since my mailart was received, I thought I would share photos. I used hand painted rice paper from my artist friend for the main card, and for the inside I used my sun painted cotton fabric. embelished with fabric pieces, and I hand stenciled the flowers on the inside, fused down toile on the inside to seal everything in, holes were already in the card so I laced ribbon thru the card for an extra embelishment-Fun stuff

You are very welcome Debra!! I just loved sending that one to you!! Yes, GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!!!!!! Don't ever get discouraged doing mailart!!! I think alot of the enjoyment is in doing the project. Makes me feel like a little kid again.....glue, paper, scissors, paint, stickers....hey, I'm all for it!!!!! lol Glad you enjoyed it!!
