Dear Beverly (aka Farmgirl Sister 1575 and pinkwitchy farmgirl), Thank you for the beautiful and inspiring mail art. I put it on my inspiration board in my sewing/craft room. For a first attempt, it was lovely. Keep at it--you have a true gift! Dianne

Got the neatest mail art from Kris Sherrill,
I will try to see if I can get photo-bucket to work. I really like it ! I hope your baby turkeys are doing better, now that you have your light on them. We have raised chickens ,they are so much fun. We lost a few when they got out of the coup and our dogs got to them. Now we just have our 3 dogs no other animals. Because we are traveling too much can't take care of them when we are on the road.
Thanks again for the wonderful mail art.
your farm sister.

Hey Peggy. I am so glad it made it there to you. And that you liked it. I was kind of stumped and had to look up other people's art work. I thought it was pretty. And fun and easy. I am all for that. I sure wish I could travel sometimes. But too much going on here for me to leave.

Kris

Just wanted to post a quick note letting Staci from Newville know that I received her lovely mailart! It came a few days ago and I still haven't had a chance to get a photo taken but will do so sometime this week. She made a lovely bee themed piece that I love. Thank you so much!!

Catherine, I'm glad it arrived and that you like it.
I love Lang calendars and hate to throw them away. It's great to be able to reuse their lovely artwork to create something new.

Hi Sandi,

I'm so glad you enjoyed the card!! I grew up in in the country in NorthCentral Wisconsin, between Rhinelander and Tomahawk (about 4 hours from Milwaukee). It's not that far from the UP (snow effect) and my parents live in one of the coldest pockets in the country. We still had great gardens, though! My mom grew up in Milwaukee and my dad grew up in Minneapolis, and somehow they met in the middle of nowhere and raised us there! My husband and I hope to return to that area within the next few years. We've had an early growing season this year in the Twin Cities, we had no snow in March, which is unheard of. Sure some came the end of April or early May, but it was a very mild spring.

Take care, I hope you get to enjoy some local strawberries soon!

~Anne

Anne -

Thank you for the darling card and note inside. It was of great interest to me because I am originally from Milwaukee, and my father was born and raised in Minneapolis. I know all about those "lake effect" snowstorms in Wisconsin! We have a wonderful farmers' market here in Moscow - no strawberries yet...

Hope the Photobucket picture comes through - my first try. :}

Sandi
