How did you guys all find Mary Jane? I had never heard of her before a few months ago. Just curious how the word got out...

I think I was on a mailing list...since I subscribe to Backwoods Home and Countryside, and I think I got information mailed to me. I also had never heard of the magazine before a few months ago. I'm glad I got the mailing! Sure has made things spectacular around my house!

... last year, while doing my monthly grocery shopping I wandered down the magazine isle. I was planning a trip to WA to meet my Lil Angels and wanted some reading material. There she was! Mary Jane's Farm. I picked it up thinking it was lovely to look at but may not be for since I do not farm. I peeked in the magazine and put it in my "buggy" (as the Southerners call the shopping cart). I read it on the plane and felt at home.. I was born country. I fell in love and feel at home with MJF magazine! Engles is the grocery store in Toccoa, GA

Same way as Karrieann-I was in the grocery store & always check out the crafts mags. There it was & something told me "you better get that" my subscription went in as soon as I deposited my paycheck!

I used to run the bulk foods section at the store where I work. At some point before I was the bulk foods person the person who was had set up Paradise Farms Organics bulk foods (MJF's products, old name). Then we got one of her fabulous magazines sent as it was also the catalog and I promptly took it home, started to look for the others religiously, and try to track down the old ones. I don't have a premier issue but I managed to get all the others. The first time I looked through that catalog/magazine I knew that MaryJane was someone with ideas worth following, I have always admired the way she has blazed trails, even when it didn't look like there was a place for them.

I love magazines and was browsing and the word MaryJane caught my eye. I mean I sure don't see my name that often and never on a magazine before!! I picked it up and fell in love with it. Got on the site and got the book and I am so hooked!

I wish they sold MJ's magazine somewhere around here! I always look in the grocery store and at Barnes and Noble, but I never find it. It's still cool how all these different media brought us together in this one place.

That is so weird Megan. Not even in Barnes and Noble? If I had your address I would gladly share some of mine. :) Keep looking for it though!

Channah, I am on a mission to find somewhere around here that sells Mary Jane's magazines! Otherwise, I'll subscribe. But I'm determined!

I too found the forum while surfing the web. I lurked around for a couple of years liking all that I was reading. Finally went out and bought MJ's Idea Book, Cookbook, Lifebook and was so taken with it that I finally signed up.

I found out about MJF on another website - Gooseberry Patch. They were talking about it online and decided to check it out. Needless to say, I am so hooked. I got her books and few other things and a subscription to the magazine.

Megan, I found copies of the magazine at Tractor Supply. You might try there.

I found a magazine on the rack by the check out counter of my Tractor Supply. I didn't buy it the first time but then went back and it was still there. The only one and I was going to be waiting for the farrier for a while and decided to buy it to give myself something to do while I waited.

I found out about Mary Jane's through a friend of mine. A few years ago she sent me a subscription. I love it!

Megan, I was going to suggest a feed store or co-op to find it :)

I was surfing the web for freeze-dried food for horse packing and MJ's food was listed on the Wilderness Dining site. When I looked it up, I was intrigued and went from there.

They found me, thank goodness, because I have been so inspired, uplifted, and met so many great people. I subscribe to Country Woman, and I think they got the mailing list. Anyway, I couldn't be happier.

I bought the book Mary Janes Ideabook and took it with me to read in the hotel while at a work convention. I could not put it down in the evenings. The rest is history. I love connecting with all the other farmgirls out there.
