I was playing in the attic yesterday and looking over all my dolls and thought she should come out.

Yes I remember tiny tears! How about Betsy Wetsy? I had both of these. I even had the original Barbie in the black and white swimsuit and the 1st Ken. When I was little I loved my dolls. When I turned 16 my uncle bought me my last doll. Miss Beasley! She sit on my bookcase for many years. When I divorced my dolls got left behind and now he doesn't know what happened to them. But the memories are still there.

I was the very same way, Mary Beth. I only wanted stuffed animals! I think my mother STILL wonders if I'm her child!

I was 5 or 6 and my Mother And I walked to town to the JCPennys to get school clothes and some how I lost her. We had every body in that store looking for her and she was never found. I was as you can tell crushed. I also had a Betsy Wetsy too. She got taken in to the Bath tub and Got mold growing inside her she got lost too Mom took her away and I never saw her again. Diana

I had Betsy-Wetsy and Chatty Cathy and later Poor Pitiful Pearl...I think that was her name. I loved stuffed animals and horses and wanted both a horse and dolls...I got over the dolls, but still want that horse! LOL

Ah, yes, I had Sweatsy Wetsy. Feed her from a bottle, and water came out of her neck and armholes. It never got near the little flannel diaper. I wasn't into baby dolls. Mom kept trying, though. I had a Ginny and Miss Ginger. When Barbie came out, I was much too old at age 10. |

I had Betsy Wetsy, Chatty Cathy and the one that would move her head around when you wound her up on the back. Don't remember what she was called. I also had the first Barbie and the first Ken, and Ginger and Allen (Allen was cuter than Ken). LOL I was big into dolls.

I got her the Christmas I was 7. I really loved her. Too bad my 3 brothers got hold of her and made her short life so awful. It seems that while I was in school, the 2 younger brothers would hatch a plan - Ernest would distract mom and Jim would sneak her out of my room. Then the would pop off her head and use it for a baseball and her poor little body for a bat. Then they would go through their act again to get her back into my room. I used to wonder why she looked so bad when I came in from school. Didn't figure it out until the 2 of them confessed when we were all grown up. (The third brother is the oldest of the 3 and was also at school with me.)

I always wanted a Chatty Cathy and a Thumbelina....never got either. I did get a doll when I was 5 that I still have...named her Suzie and I dug her out and am now buying baby clothes for her at Goodwill. She's the size of a 3-6 month old and fun to dress still. My sister said she couldn't believe I still had her. I think I still enjoy her because I never had children. She is a memory-full of warm fuzzies.
