That's the front-yard rhubarb which is typically at least 3 weeks ahead of the back-yard rhubarb but still - it's only February 28th. This is a far cry from the last two winters for our area
How about the rest of you - any first sprouts of spring sightings?

Nothing edible, but one of my peonies is showing red sprouts, and my roses are loaded with leaf buds.....also, the bluebirds are back, they were checking out the bluebird house, and playing in the birdbath today!!!

WOW! Rhubarb? I wouldn't even know where to begin to look for ours yet. Maybe under the giant drift of snow. :) Rhubarb...I can't wait for rhubarb. But I don't think we really start looking for rhubarb until Mother's Day. I'm jealous!!

I've seen a few little tufts of green grass here and there and today I noticed that a neighbors' willow had tiny buds on it. And everything is muddy--a sure sign that spring is almost here!

I'm so glad you said this because I saw the red sprouts on my peony (the one I thought had died) and I had no idea if that was a good sign or not! lol

That is wonderful! I have seen green grass growing- Tala got to eat a small hand picked mouthful yesterday!

I am going to check my mint plant. It should be one of the first things that shows new growth I think!

I can hardly wait...

What time Amanda? oh shoot, I don't get off work till 4 in Spokane then will be home about 5. Are you going over to the antique store? I have a bunch of time off in the middle of March - maybe we could do something then. This darn working for a living thing.....
And now I have to go check my peonies - I never did trim them last year so it might be time
