Okay, despite all the flooding, I was able to get all the piggy's off to their new owners. . the only exception is for Joyfulmelodies, yours will go out tomorrow Please let me know that you have received your order. . . Mama worries about her little piggy's traveling on their own! hehehehe!
1: Pin right sides together for the body, sew from x to x 2: Pin right sides together for the gusset sew from x to . on each side. 3: now, with right sides together, line up the x's on the body with the gusset. Now pin the leg section to the body section on each half. It looks kind of weird but it works!
4: I start sewing at the rear x going down the back leg and following along until I reach the front x This is the only tricky part, you need to lift the needle out of the fabric and move the small amount of fabric at that seam allowance out of your way and then lower the needle back down. . . looks funny however it works to secure that seam without a pucker or a gap.
I will try to take some pictures of the process next week and post on my blog. It will help to actually "see" step 4. Hope the explanation helped some!
