Whew....I think I made a little over 50-pounds of soap this weekend...getting ready for our spring and summer shows. My soap is cured for 4-weeks before I wrap and label them so now is our peak time for handcrafting our By the Bay soap and I have been busy!!

Eli (who is 13) came back from a friends house these evening and told me his friend said he smelled just like a flower! LOL

Must be my garden of soap scents lingering in the house....

You have been busy. I hope you sell every single one of them. That's cute what your son said. I hope he didn't get teased too bad about smelling like a flower.

I am making soap also to sell at the farmer's market here. I have them all over the house. They do smell good.

OY do I have lilac....chocolate, lemon verbena, anise, red clover tea, clementine, bayberry, lavender, sweet grass, cotton and the list goes on and on and on. I will begin another big batch maybe 35-45 more pounds this week---mostly repeats of what I have curing right now. The house smells GRAND!

Oh...I had a little fun and made 8-lbs of Jasmine Rose with just a light dusting of rose petals on the top----Just beautiful and so rich and creamy... I've been wanting to make rose for a long time; I know it's an "old fashioned scent", but it reminds me of my little sister...rose is her favorite scent!

I have never made soap. I think I want to get a book and try it. It sounds like fun.

It's all good!

I love rose! It is my very favorite scent. Right now I'm using an "antique rose" scented body balm and some rose scented almond oil and coconut oil. YUM!!!

Melody, that is sooo funny about your son. When I was making lip balm a couple of weeks ago, my son said the house smelled like a fruit basket:) I guess that is better than other things :0

And yes your soap is WONDERFUL!
BTW did you ever use that BIG box of yarn? ;)

Angela!!! The YARN! I ended up making about 8-pairs of Maryjane slippers---which barely made a dent in the stash! Bless your heart---this year I am going to learn how to knit MITTENS and living here in Michigan Winter is not so far away anytime of the year! I've been on-line looking for EASY patterns.

Thank you again for the enormous amount of your LOVELY Yarn and for the Soap compliment---You just let me know if you need any more anytime soon---I am knee deep in curing soap at the moment!

Melody - just make sure there isn't a pipe leak! You'll be spewing suds all the way down your street! Girl, I am so PROUD of you! And I agree -- you make the BEST soap. I love the idea of your Jasmine Rose. That'll probably sell first! Keep up the good work, my friend!
