So, my DH decided he wants to take up making his own root beer again this coming summer. last summer we made successful batches, but used extracts. Now he wants to try it with actual bark and spices... has anyone had luck with this? i'm excited to try it out!

I was at the amish market today and once again looked at the rootbeer extract, but didn't buy it. I should've , I've always been tempted to try it. I saw how much sugar was required, and freaked out- I'm sure that was for a huge batch though.

Somewhere in the archives , my son has a book all about making sodas. I forgot the name, but they do have books all about it. ( Helpful hint- not quite!)
