i am working on spring cleaning and since i was sick last year it is quite a chore. i think i am making a bigger mess than when i started.
craft wise i just finished a bunny for a friend who has been in contact with me since the illness. we lived next to one another since we were born. she was a ballet dancer:

so i tried as best i could to make her a bunny ballerina.
all my crafts are swirling around in my head, but i am slower than ever with them, the anti-cancer meds they give me make your body feel like you have arthritis, and in my case it really has made my hands ache. i am hoping, though that with time i will get used to the medicine and it wont hurt as much.....or who knows, maybe not at all.

I just finished a baby quilt for my first grandchild due May 5th. So now I am working on a new apron and binding my underground railroad quilt. But I am itching to get outside and dig in the dirt.

After walking the dogs, and getting our clothes pressed for the 3 pm Passion Service, I am going to pick up my knitting and sit on the porch working away and enjoying the sunshine. I'm working on a pink silk yarn shawl for my mother as her mother's day gift.

I am working on a crochet recycle project. It is made out of the leftove plastic from an overwrap machine at work. I call them my garage rugs because you put one outside the garage door to catch all the dirt & then all you have to do is hose them off! They are great! When I was little (oh so many moons ago) my grandma taught me to make bread bag rugs & it is fitting to continue & recycle just as she did!
I also am knitting a helmet hat for my husband for next winter. I am making the bottom extra long to tuck down into his coat. Keeps the neck warm!

Karla, where would you find a pattern for bread bag rugs? I want to try and try and make a bread bag tote, but I don't know how you would keep all the bags together. For the time being, I'm working on my second dishcloth.

I am fillet crocheting an edging for a country skirt I am going to make myself. On the sewing machine I have a dress I smocked for my 6 month old granddaughter to put together. Today we are going to the fabric store to buy fabric to make 13 and 18 year old daughters sundresses. The fun never ends.

I'm baking baked beans, fixing some deviled eggs and Slaw. Going up to Overland Park, Ks. at the familys house and need to stop and get mom and load all her things up to go with us. There will be about 25 of us there and all the grand=children are excited. They only see each other a few times a year. So as far as crafts, not much today. May take my knitting up with me to see if SIL can show me how to do fingers in my gloves. Started them during the winter and just can't seem to figure the fingers out. We always get together on Sat. before Easter for dinner because we all go to different churches and it just seems to work out better for all of us. Except mom!! She wants to get together on the actual holiday. Believe me when growing up, holidays were always at our house on that day!!hahaha Old habits are hard to break!????
Everyone have a blessed Easter!!

Completing some of my merit badges and embroidering a dresser scarf (stamped) - getting ready to iron on a design for my tea towels and finish up a crocheted afghan for my sone for ocllege next Fall. Next in the works - crocheting rag rugs from recycled sheets and crocheting window toppers for my new living room and dining room windows at the cabin...

Have to make a journal for the exchange/swap and set up for my staff to learn to make journals for themselves/their patients.

I think I need a nap!

I finished knitting my umpteenth roll brim hat (this one is for me) and then I'll continue to work on my dh's sweater.
Got the back, both fronts, and one sleeve done, working on sleeve number two, then its just the front bands and
collar and I'll be done, yippee! Then I'll start on one for me. I've also been sneaking in some embroidered tea
towels for the craft sale that will go to the library fund - we sorely need a new library. But today, I'm working on
the taxes so I don't get too busy and forget to do them altogether....for me, beware the ides of April.

I finished my first granny square, and I think it turned out pretty well! It's something really easy that I could probably finish in about an hour or less. So fun!
